http://www.revleft.com/vb/group.php?groupid=1045 Why do we get so much hate
I think it is because RevLeft is not representative of the intelligent socialist community.
l'Enfermé and 9mm already infiltrated
Maja hates DNZ and his ability to critique the shortcomings of the CWI and the greater trend of Trotskyism as a whole. It makes him insecure, so he needs to resort to petty sectarianism. The irony is that no one disputes that kautsky became a renegade. The entire meaning behind the word renegade is one who was once true to something, but betrayed it. This small detail seems to have eluded them, who prefer to buy until the usual Stalinist falsifications about the matter.
l'Enfermé and 9mm already infiltrated And a few more "deep entryist" comrades, too!
He's trolling blatantly. Very unbecoming of a moderator.
Damn, really mature.
I don't know yet if the group is really a slander against Kautskyite revivalist, Orthodox Marxists like you guys but a group to discuss the failures and mistakes of Kaustky. It might be a troll though, and you could be right, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge.
In his own words, Maja meant it as an attempt to counter the revivalists, not just "a group to discuss the failures and mistakes."
Does an "Anti-Trotskyist" group exist on RevLeft?
Does an "Anti-Trotskyist" group exist on RevLeft? Yeah, why do you ask? Anyway, anything interesing going on in the anti-kautsky group? You need to be a member to view any contents.
I love the Marxist-Leninists group. It's my favorite place on the entire forum. Whenever I'm feeling down or bored, I just head over to the ML sub-forum so I can have a good chuckle. Sometimes I am tempted to go to Chit-Chat and post a thread asking how many people actually enjoy doing that, but the moment the Stalinists realize that we read their forum and laugh at their antics is when they'll probably restrict its contents to members only. I think Borz asked because he was contemplating countering with an Anti-Trotskyite group which emphasized the reformist, economist, and sectarian nature of mainstream Trotskyism, including Majakovski's organization the CWI which is particularly bad in the former quality. It seems to vary by the sections to some degree. The British and American sections of the CWI seem pretty straight up social-democratic.
Reading their so-called mission statement of what their group is funny enough in itself. Most Marxist-Leninists claim that the Soviet Union under Stalin's leadership represented a correct and successful practical implementation of the ideas of the scientific socialist ideas of Marx, Engels and Lenin in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Really? Anti-revisionists point out that Stalin's policies not only achieved impressive rates of economic growth and argue that such growth could have been sustained and a prosperous communism could have been achieved if the Soviet Union had remained on this same course Pretty much the same nonsense that capitalists make, lol. "Capitalism has raised the standard of living for everyone!! Because economic growth is so much more important than the human condition, right? they also typically further allege that the worldwide ideological impact and leadership of the Soviet Union in the 1930s and 1940s world labor movement represent a superior ideological and social model of real "workers' power". What workers power? Sounds like social democracy with machine guns (and gulags). Maybe its just me, but the more I see Stalinists talk, the more similar they seem to capitalists.
Anyway, anything interesing going on in the anti-kautsky group? You need to be a member to view any contents. Not really, there is only one discussion and its mostly comrades asking what the point of this group is. The highlight so far as been Choler pointing out the irony of the fact that the Anti-Kautskyist group is predominantly populated by Kautsky revivalists.
Well that's basically what they are.
The funny thing is that there are no "Kautskyites" on this forum that I am aware of, and if there are they should be restricted because it would imply that they uphold renegade Kautsky's anti-Marxism. We are not Kautskyists for the same reason we're not Leninists i.e. we take what is useful and insightful from these theoreticians and strategists and leave the shit, of which there was plenty in both cases. I also love how some people think there's something particularly unique about siding with Luxemburg and Lenin against renegade Kautsky, as if we don't
BMH called us the nerd brigade, I might embrace that term.
same
good idea
Nerd Brigade sounds like a good name for a hella sick communist street gang.
Menshevik Nerd Brigade*
Someone should make Martov their avatar. Negative Creep, for some reason your avatar looks like a black guy with a big afro wearing one of those green banker visors.

I prefer the Program Brigade myself. L'Enferme, go ahead with that Anti-Trot group (present comradely company excluded, of course)!
