The Black Bloc movement is infected with a deeply disturbing hypermasculinity. This hypermasculinity, I expect, is its primary appeal. It taps into the lust that lurks within us to destroy, not only things but human beings. It offers the godlike power that comes with mob violence. Marching as a uniformed mass, all dressed in black to become part of an anonymous bloc, faces covered, temporarily overcomes alienation, feelings of inadequacy, powerlessness and loneliness.
god. i heard there is a discount in critical theory in the barnes and noble in the corner go check it out and then tell us about gramscite synthesis of radical democracy and genderqueers wearing muslim scarves

sup internet male feminist. nice 1950's gender stereotypes. my lust to destroy is feminine as fuck. and yeah it does feel good to break things, im not sure why you think this is bad. are you some sort of monk who wants me to avoid the worldly pleasures of breaking stuff? we are all inadequate, powerless, and lonely. that's what humans are under capitalism. and yeah, we can only get out of this through overwhelming our nervous system with drugs or sex or adrenaline. might as well use that adrenaline to smash private property. as far as destroying human beings, fuck yeah. you're right. we're horrible creatures, predictable functions of capitalism. communism is destroying ourselves and burning everything that created us (i.e. private property) to the ground, and dancing in ecstasy around the flames at our rebirth. if you don't want to destroy human beings, most importantly yourself, you're not a communist

As far as boots go, these are mine: Belgian army boots

My dad used to wear 'em in the days military service was still mandatory and I've been wearing 'em for about 6 years now, they're still great.

These are Yugoslav National Army boots. I used to have pair of these but they were too big (they were 47 and my foot is 45/46). I got them from my uncle, since my father was in army long, long, long time ago. Right now I have same DM's as bcbm. They are quite nice. If I get a better job I might buy myself cherry red ones. We'll see.

16 years of alchohol is probably my favorite "skinhead movie", because the fact that him and his boys are skins has little to do with the movie. I just don't like the sensationalism that always comes with a movie where the people are skinheads.

    ?

A lot of the original london skinheads were rocking shirts from shops that were selling traditional american clothing. I don't like the cut of ben sherman shirts, they don't fit me well, I prefer merc, warrior, and fred perry (really want to get a brutus shirt), but it doesn't bother me one bit to score a button down from J Crew that fits me well, is classically styled, and only costs $35.
I thought someone mentioned Brutus earlier in this thread! Just spent ages looking for it, then remembered this site had a search function...

Came across this thought you might be interested:

Yes they are taking the piss I must say. There are a couple of nice work shirts in the sale section plus you can get 20% off at the moment with a code.

Whenever I get stuff from the states the shipping kills me too. Last time I got hit for taxes as well

Never had any Lacoste myself, was more into sports over designer for whatever reason. But stayed away from the Tacchini side of things. Must admit did have the odd Fila or Ellesse, but usually a trainer, short or top never the tracksuits from the 80's - which you can still get as it happens.

Was into Yves Saint Lauren polo's though, quality was excellent.

These days mostly into Adidas Originals. Like their Firebird tracktops especially. Got a couple of Puma plain polo's a while ago, poor quality (very thin) and didn't wash well. Will get quality next time. That's what you get for always trying to buy cheap!

Uf, I hate lacoste... this is what casuals here wear. To me this is the ugliest shoe ever... same goes for Puma. I actually hate wearing anything but boots and Adidas Originals.

I wanted some red trainers cos I loved my old Cortez so much, I found it really hard to find ones I liked and very difficult to find those Samoas in stock anywhere. In the end I had to order them from the US and they ended up being very expensive. I think you will find it very difficult to find a pair in your size. The also look great in navy. The only thing I don't like about them is the rather thick sole. If I could I might have got another pair of red Cortez but they have changed them. Mine were all leather, with red laces and the 'swoosh' might have even been red too. But now they mostly come in nylon and suede like this:

Vegeterian boots? Oh, what a hell... I wouldn't wear these...

    These are Getta Grip

DM's are better, because they are not so tight... Getta Grip are tight so your feet looks like it is in clown shoe hehe
I used to have Underground, but I've had a pair of Getta Grip for the past couple of years now. I like steeltoe boots.

I guess so. Maybe my lust is to destroy white masculine as fuck.

I do like breaking things. Is it a worldly pleasure or an anti-worldly one?
