Default You inspire me, RevLeft. Here's lookin at you ;)

It was only recently that I've admitted to myself that yes, indeed, I am a communist. And when I did that, the world became all the more lonely a place for me... no longer was I moderate enough to let political arguments go with a "let's agree to disagree." I felt extremely isolated, and extremely cynical about pretty much everything. Then I made a friend, an anarchist, who gave me a sense of true cometary. He also is the one who recommended this site to me. I've had a blast so far, I really have. It's been a unique and inspirational experience. It's really nice knowing that I'm not alone in my convictions, and that there is a place where what I have to say about politics, social justice, and revolution, are heard and understood with sympathetic ears. Thanks for that, all of you here at RevLeft.

Anyhow, here is something that you have inspired me to create:

She's something of a communist "Lady Liberty." I think of her as the TRUE Lady Liberty, being that she stands for the liberation of all men from the tyranny of capitalism and rule by greed. I hope you like her

very creative, wonderful imagery. I really enjoy the graphic work that you post on here. If you ever want a wider audience then http://www.deviantart.com/ is a fairly good site to upload to.

Well the original plan was to have her stark naked, but I decided that a little modesty was in order. Hence the detailed nips.

So you decided to give her a dress that looks like it's gonna fall off in just a minute?

Nice one hugs. I really like it.

If she reappears them you could dye her hair red. That would be pretty symbolic. Clever me And red hair is minted!

I also like the detail on the nipples. Makes it less conservative

A lurker on this site who attends the same university. As soon as he mentioned aloud in my Political Sociology class that he was a radical leftist, I approached him after class and we became fast friends. Good guy, truly.

I'll see about bugging him until he does. Hopefully he'll become more than a mere lurker.

May I delicately ask why she has her eyes closed? I can understand the internal-feeling thing, but maybe a little more outwardness is called for. She looks decidedly too passive.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Delacroix's "Liberty Leading the People" -- were you?

You do have a point there... although I was inspired in part by that (among other similar works) I was listening to a very uplifting JPOP ballad at the time, and the internal theme jives more with the song then any of those revolutionary works. Perhaps another version is in order down the line...

...uh... do i have to answer that?
