First, it does seem very possible. It doesn't take a genius to see this. Most of the people that started with Castro back in 1959 have all been executed, died of "natural" causes or in an "accident", fled the country or have been imprisoned. Is it a coincedence that from the original crew only Fidel and brother is left?

The people who were with Che at the very end said that he said he felt betrayed by Che. Of course, these are bastards that murdered him so I can't say that's too reliable a source.

I think anyone can see that Fantomas meant that Fidel has betrayed many of, if not all, of his early compatriots, perhaps he did the same to Che. Don't dismiss messages simply because you think the messanger has "cooties" or something. I'd have thought that as a law student you'd be more objective or have greater polemical tact.

i've seen loads of castro's old comrades in interviews. they all looked bloody old to me. don't forget that the revolution was almost half-a-century ago, they aren't immortal, although che does seem like it sometimes.
furthermore, there is no way on earth castro could have known che would die in bolivia. he was shopped by some ignorant and greedy villagers who were more interested in appeasing the bolivian military and scooping the reward than che's valiant attempt to liberate them. that's simple fact.

*Sardonic tone*Yes Nickademus, you are clearly so objective and logical. *Condescension* That must be how you determined you determined that 4 typed words, each with one syllable, betray condescension.

I think Castro used & still uses El Che for his own personal gain.

Although I'm of the moderate-right and my pig-headed capitalisitc ideas should not matter to you close-minded left wingers, I must agree that Fidel uses El Che's image has an effective tool of propaganda - much like Franco and his Fascist Regime used the image of Antonio for Spain's Facsist revolution against the Communist, Anarchist (both which I hate) and the Republic (the only rightful party in that revolution).

Dead People can not speak their minds nor defend their ideas. Which makes them ideal heroes for false leaders and oppressors like Fidel and Franco.

funny that, the reason the republicans failed in the Spanish Civil War is because towards the end, when the coalition was doing quite well, they decided to turn on their communist and anarchist allies, and try and wipe them out. They couldn't bear the idea of other ideologies actually sharing in their glory, or getting peculiar ideas in their heads about deserving some kind of say.

Actually, the Spanish Republic was nominally controlled by Stalinist agents, and it was they who began the purge of the socialists, trotskyites, anarchists and republican elements.
