    Default No response from IWW

I sent off my completed application form and cheque to the IWW at least a month ago, and have yet to have any response. I've even met up with them in real life at the Anarchist Bookfair and told them that I'd sent an application so they'd know to expect it and stuff and they took my email/phone number so they could stay in contact with me while I was waiting for my card, papers etc. But still no reply. As I said its been at least a month.

What can I do? I don't want to send another cheque and form off if it's going to have no reply.

Nope, would that help? I thought seeing them in the flesh would be enough

    Yeah, try emailing them.

I know another user on this board was having similar difficulties signing up.

Signing up online always seems to be a problem. I think it's better to have a face-to-face with a delegate.

Which IWW? the BiROC? If so I'll sort it out personally, just pm me your details.

You intellectuals and Bourgeois anarchists use it as a pretext for doing nothing. To do nothing, to remain motionless, arms at your sides, wearing kids gloves. Well, I have dirty hands. Right up to the elbows. I've plunged them in the filth and blood. But what do you hope? Do you think you'll govern innocently?"

Online stuff does take a little while, the union is also dealing with a bunch of stuff right now, so I'd give it some time. It's always best to meet in person with a delegate though. I sent in my money and application through the internet, but when I met with a delegate a while after that they were able to get me all set up in a few minutes.

Yeah, when I joined online it took me a couple months to get my red card. It's a lot easier to join in person by meeting face to face with a delegate, if possible

I think I also joined at a bad time, if I remember correctly they were moving the GHQ from Philly to Cincinnati at the time. Plus my stuff had to cross the Canada-US border, and as we all know from the ballot issues every other year...
