    Default Money as Debt

Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it is being created.

It's as basic as you're gonna get. I knew little of finance outside micro (accounting) and those concepts of fiat currency they give you in high school. But I couldn't build a full framework of money as debt, and today's credit, and the crime of fractional reserve. The documentary helped me achieve that.

I never took a single econ or finance course in my life. If you have trouble understanding it, try rewatching it, have a friend who knows the stuff explain it, or read up on basic money policies and how banks operate. I don't what to say, really, other than if it's hard to grasp you need to do some research, and not the kind you'll find in a video.
