    Default Jakarta Situation Today

Protesters destroyed a government car passing through the Sudirman Street in front of the Atmajaya University.

News source reported that the protesters stopped the car, forced the driver to leave the car and set it on fire, causing panic among people watching the protest.

A spokeswoman from the university told news source that the
    protesters were not Atmajaya students.

She added her students were still taking the university final exams when the incident occurred.

She claimed the protesters called for an investigation into the death of Maftuh Fauzi, a student from the National University who died last Friday after he was released from police jail and received treatment from hospitals.

The demonstrators also reportedly rejected the fuel price hikes.

And also happen a hit & run by a police car, just about hours ago in the middle of protest near the House of the Representatives in Jakarta. the protesters that been ram by the police car were brought to the hospital and no reports on how's his condition now.

I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions about the situation there to be better able to understand it.

How big is the revolutionary leftist movement there?

Which ideological tendency has the most support and influence (anarchism, Maoism, Trotskyism etc.)?

Is the ideological tendency with the most support and influence revolutionary or reformist?

How big is the revolutionary leftist movement there?
not big enough to bring a real revolution. we separated into many groups from each city. but there is some growing leftist group, rumah kiri for example and Jaringan Anti Otoritarian ( Anti Authoritarian Network)

Which ideological tendency has the most support and influence (anarchism, Maoism, Trotskyism etc.)?
i know some anarchist group in Jakarta, Malang and Surabaya. and i also found some trotskyist (in a little group though).

Is the ideological tendency with the most support and influence revolutionary or reformist?
for the ideological tendency, the most support (as far as i know) is only from the reformist. as i mention above, we still don't have enough strength to bring a real revolution.
