The Romanian revolution
What do comrades think of the 1989 "Romanian revolution"? it's interesting, because it in my opinion it was a geniune uprisings of the masses (In a way all the other Eastern blocs end wasn't), but on the other hand, it brought back capitalism.
And when Marx says, 'Hitherto the philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways', what that 'hitherto' means is not a renunciation of theory and that all we need to do is wade in with our fists and there will be no more need for thought. This idea is in fact fascist, and it would be grossly unjust to Marx to impute such views on him.

Actually, it was a particularly uninteresting set of circumstances, which involved flying from Damascus with Tarom, and double bookings, and basically ending up being stuck in Bucharest for a few days while it all went off.
I don't think that it was a 'geniune uprisings of the masses' at all, but that it was manipulated by the security forces.

I can sympathize with Red Ghosts outlook, that the Romanian "revolution" could be viewed as a rectification movement by the people of Romania against social imperialism, but the specifics of the scenario show that it clearly was not one.
From what I hear from a Romanian Comrade of mine, it was a coup, straight up. A military coup, hyped by cappie media.
Now, the fact that 70% of Romanians want to return to socialism is a testament to this (In addition to rampant womyn traffiking, and other common degenerations of capitalism, Romania is where they filmed the "Kazhakstan" portions of the Borat movie.).
Also, as an anti-revisionist, while I will recognize Ceasescue as a revisionist objectively, he did incorporate som e of the more anti-revisionist aspects of Marxism-Leninism (from China and North Korea, mostly,) , and did wrestle with the Warsaw pact, while trying to promote some level of self-sufficiency.
I was raised a Pacifist ; Now I see, violence is the only thing that solves anything.

This sounds interesting - where did you hear this? There are similar trends in other countries, not because people do not value political freedom, but because the transition to a market economy has resulted in the collapse of secure employment and a decline in the provision of social welfare - thus creating insecurity for the most vulnerable sections of society, e.g. pensioners.
