Default Draw An MS Paint Left-Winger!

Inspired by the "Draw an MS Paint Right Winger" thread. The purpose is to draw a leftwinger, either one you support, one you don't, or perhaps making fun of a leftwinger, although lets keep the sectarianism and flaming to a minimum please.

Took me 2 full hours. But it's worth it. I sorta wanted to do a portrait of him for a long time.

And I know he is a lot angrier than in that photo...I guess I did it subconsciously. An angry old man is just how I perceive him.

The trick is to make an outline, just like art students do in their protraits, and then erase it afterwards.

I do a lot of drawing in MS paint and strangely enough, I find it to be better than Adobe Photoshop.

I just have to say something about this. This picture reeks of economism, male chauvinism, and revisionism. There is nothing at all revolutionary about Chavez's "make Venezuela rich by making it's economy dependent on selling oil to the imperialists" strategy. And what is the depiction of the masses that Chavez leads? Male workers.

How does this depiction of revolutionary art compare with things produced in places like the Soviet Union in the initial days of the revolutionary upsurge, art that depicted the fury of women as a revolutionary force, that broke with all kinds of traditional art forms? Would this kind of art depicted here inspire revolutionary upsurges? How does this contrast to the kind of art and culture that is advocated in Avakian's New Synthesis?

Your comment reeks of pseudo-fanatic feminism, classist elitism, Soviet fanboyism, artistic and cultural exclusivism and a bunch of other elitist isms i cant be bothered to come up wiht. it's just a picture of Chave drawn reasonably well in paint, not a carefully crafted argument extolling the virtues of chavez's economic plan, especially in relation to his policies on oil and economic growth of Venezuela, written from a mysoginistic view-point.
