Building Industry Attack Dog

The Australian Building & Construction Commission (ABCC)

Rally 4pm Wednesday 9 April

255 Elizabeth St, Sydney

opposite the War Memorial

Since the ABCC was set up in 2006, building industry workers have
been under surveillance by a task force of more than 100 police,
secretly interrogated, compelled to answer, compelled to keep
interrogations secret, all under threats of gaol and fines.

Unions have been fined up to $40,000; officials fined thousands. 91
workers in WA have recently been fined $10,000 each.

"Wages and salaries rose 0.9 per cent in the 3 months to December."
Company profits rose 3.9 per cent in the same period". "The big
winners have been construction & retail firms." (Sydney Morning
Herald 4 March 2008)

Workers are being held in fear. Companies are reaping big benefits
from the ABCC secret police.

Building Workers should have the same rights as everyone else.
