From a Technocratic POV is the European Union (EU) progressive?
I was reading about a Technocratic concept about how a Technate (The region where a Technocratic society operates) could only be implemented on a continental level and only on a continent which has the ideal resources to make self-sufficiency, and thus Technocracy, possible (Such as Europe or North America).
Basically this concept led me into thinking that the EU cold be seen as a progressive step forward by Technocrats as it combines the majority of European states (Including most of the major European economic powerhouses) into one union with the aim of economic cooperation and standardisation between the member states (Albeit in a Capitalist mode of production).
Am i right in thinking this?

Well i dont know about that.
What i mean by progressive is that the EU can be seen as a progressive step forward from the old nation-states as a Technocratic technate would require an area of land similar to the size of the EU as somewhere to implement their ideas.
One good thing about the EU is that it could take power away from the nation-states which in the future would make a Technocrats job of implementing their ideas a hell of alot easier without the old nation-states still complaining about sovereignty (As their sovereignty would have been taken away long ago).

Nothing to add here, so I'll quote it for truth.
