Default The prospect is war in Lebanon again...

I lived through the fucking Hezbollah-Israeli war in 2006(which btw the Lebanese Communist Party fought in and 12 soldiers from the LCP died). It was complete hell. It made me sick that whole villages like Bint Jbeil in the south were completely flattened...once thousands of building standing tall, there is now not a single building.

The Israelis failed miserably in trying to "disable" hezbollah guerillas. They were humiliated. A country that once could beat Jordan, Syria, and Egypt in 6 days(1967 war) couldn't even beat a little resistance movement in the south of lebanon for 34 days!

And now it looks like they want to redeem themselves. The prospect of war is all over Lebanon. Last week Imad Moghniyeh, Hezbollah's second in command was assasinated in a car bomb in syria, and the blame is being put on in Israel, as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah swore revenge. Missiles are being transferred from Israel to the North. The problem with the Israelis is that they are so dirty. They say they target hezbollah but they target everyone. If they want to bomb a bridge, they'll wait until theres lots of cars on the bridge then they'll hit it. They'll hit anything and defend the hit by claiming "hezbollah was using it as a road to transport weapons". Israeli DEFENSE forces my ass. Fucking israelis...I can't fucking live through another war with these barbarians.

Just wondering, are you (or do you know someone who is) in the LCP? I've heard that the LCP fought well in the 2006 war but I haven't been able to find much information on them. How big is the Communist movement in Lebanon? And the LCP fought alongside Hizballah soldiers, right?

I'm not officially a member, but i regularly visit the base. The reason i don't join officially is because if islamic fundamentalists ever decide to lash out at commies, i don't want my name being on one of their lists. But many of my friends are members, although i know noone from the Resistance Front(the armed wing of the LCP). The movement in Lebanon is pretty big considering the population of Lebanon. In the South, there is a village called Kfar Reman, and because of how many communists there are down there, it is known as Kfar Moscow. What's interesting is that it's a very big family movment in the party(for example, a person now would be in the party because his father was in the party). And yes they did fight alongside hezbollah soldiers.
