Ask this person this: If you earned shit all money at a terrible job and couldnt afford to pay the rent, let alone buy any food to support your family, wouldnt you turn to economic crime against people who can afford to lose a little percentage of there comfortable income?
I must say though that working class people, of whatever race, commiting crimes against fellow working class people, of whatever race, is unforgivable when you consider the similar economic circumstances that these people are in.

1) Of course most criminals aren't white. The majority of the world is non-white. :P
2) Black people are more prone to become criminals due to poverty. Poverty breeds crime, and, due to years of oppression, black people tend to be poorer than white people.

Point out that the majority of 'crimes' are defined by upper-class white people. Therefore their prejudice plays a great part in qualifying what is a crime and who is a criminal. I think you'll find the majority of crimes in the US or the UK are by white people, but they are not as reported by a xenophobic and racist media and heirarchy as the minority of crimes committed by people who happen to be non-white. The difference is definition. Alternatively tell him that you fucked his sister, and therefore it is possible that he is not the father of his children :P .
