I know this one guy who claims that aboriginies, South American pygmi, and bushmen are "inferior" to everyone else, and claims that aboriginies have an average IQ of 65. He can't do TOO much damage, given that he's just one guy, but... memes spread, as we all know. So, help me debunk this!
Also, I just want to say that generalizing intelligence by race is completely misleading, and oppressive to the idea of the "individual".
And I think the criteria used to determine "intelligence" is socially/culturally/racially/sexually slandered, since intelligence (much like beauty) is a relative term.
While the following article that appeared in the Sunday (London) Times on Dr. James Watson, a couple of weeks ago, may not be of direct use to you, it is so funny that it should warm the hearts of anti-racism campaigners everywhere.

JAMES WATSON, the DNA pioneer who claimed Africans are less intelligent than whites, has been found to have 16 times more genes of black origin than the average white European.
An analysis of his genome shows that 16% of his genes are likely to have come from a black ancestor of African descent. By contrast, most people of European descent would have no more than 1%.
The study was made possible when he allowed his genome - the map of all his genes - to be published on the internet in the interests of science.
“This level is what you would expect in someone who had a great-grandparent who was African,” said Kari Stefansson of deCODE Genetics, whose company carried out the analysis. “It was very surprising to get this result for Jim.”
Watson won the Nobel prize, with Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins, after working out the structure of DNA in 1953. However, he provoked an outcry earlier this year when he suggested black people were genetically less intelligent than whites.
This weekend his critics savoured the wry twist of fate. Sir John Sulston, the Nobel laureate who helped lead the consortium that decoded the human genome, said the discovery was ironic in view of Watson’s opinions on race. “I never did agree with Watson’s remarks,” he said. “We do not understand enough about intelligence to generalise about race.”
The backlash against Watson forced him to step down as chancellor of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York state, after 39 years at the helm. He had said he was “inherently gloomy about the prospects for Africa” because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours - whereas all the testing says not really”.
The analysis by deCODE Genetics, an Icelandic company, also shows a further 9% of Watson’s genes are likely to have come from an ancestor of Asian descent. Watson was not available for comment.

You have to remember that alot of non-white people are less intelligent than alot of white people but that is because of the, often appalling, economic conditions that they are forced to grow up in, compared to your average white person, which limits there time for education.
This of course compared with your averge middle class white kid who gets to go to school in a nice non-violent neighbourhood and who probably has a mommy or daddy who owns a business and will employ their child, after they finish education, to give them valuable working experience (i.e. white people are far more likely to get all the chances in the world to succeed compared to non-white people who are more likely to have it far tougher than anyone else ever would).

I find it ridiculous that so many white nationalists claim that statistics which show "superiority" in the numbers of white people with high IQ or better health, etc., are evidence of an inherent racial "superiority." Does it never occur to them that perhaps white people do not have he advantage because of genes or zoological mumbo-jumbo, but because the racist system favors whites and treats them better?
If they are poorer, it is because they ae discriminated against by bosses and cops. if they commit more crimes, it is because they are poor. If they die at an earlier age, it is because they can't afford nuritious food and must subsist on what is cheap. In addition, because of the inherent poverty to minorities, they are less likely to get a good education, and thus statistically they will appear "dumber." It's all nonsense. It's. All. Nonsense. All of it based on material conditions and economics. None of it has to do with "race" any more than it has to do with hair color.
In other words, he makes up numbers out of thin air.
Remind him that 93.7 percent of all statistics are just arbitrarily made up by someone. (By the way, I just made that up.)
If said race has an average IQ of 65 they would all be mentally retarded..
Today even most supporters of the use of IQ tests no longer say that the tests measure intelligence. They say that the tests are "predictors of success in school" and are still called IQ tests for historical reasons. The test results correlate with grades in school because they contain questions on learned subjects, such as the meanings of vocabulary words. This means that the tests cannot measure innate intelligence, independent of the student's experiences. How could the fact that a test-taker isn't aware that a hassock is another name for a foot stool (an actual example that I have seen cited) measure intrinsic intelligence prior to one's experiences? See any textbook on educational psychology or evaluation methods.

Are there differences between different races, nationalities, and ethnicities in average IQ? Yes.
Are these differences at least partially genetically based? Yes.
Are IQ tests culturally biased? No (there are culture-free tests).
Does this mean anything? Not really.
What's important to remember is that in the grand scheme of things racial/ethnic groups are not important. It's all about the individual not the group.
Only because there's more dumb whites than dumb Asians doesn't mean anything. If you see a smart white person do you think, "wow it's a smart white person!" No, it's just a smart person. If you see a smart Asian, you just see a smart person. Ethnic/racial labels are pointless.
You're confusing academic tests like the SAT and ACT with real IQ tests like Raven's Matrices Test.
Real IQ tests are made to be culture free and do not include questions like the one you mentioned.
IQ tests do measure intelligence to a degree: they can measure you're reasoning abilities. However they fail to measure other skills that might be considered "intelligence," like musical ability.
