How would you define an ideology which is extremely socially reactionary yet economically progressive? I mean, if a political party wants to stone gays, gas Jews and allow men to rape their wives, yet wants to give "the honest working man" collective ownership of the means of production, how would that be defined?

I mean, a lot of the regimes east of the iron curtain were quite socially reactionary (take for example Romania and abortions).

Since there are gay, Jewish and female workers, such a party would be reactionary and anti-working class.

I mean, a lot of the regimes east of the iron curtain were quite socially reactionary (take for example Romania and abortions).
They were also 'economically' reactionary, with no workers' control over the means of production.

We have to examine society in its totality. In most instances, it's flawed to say that a society can be 'socially reactionary yet economically progressive'. Reactionary ideas about women, gays, or other nationalities were allowed to flourish under the influence of reactionary bureaucratic control over society and economy.

Socially progressive correlates with economically progressive.
Socialy regressive people usually just are super-nationalists who pretend to give a shit about the workers, but really don't care. Like Hitler. And random other fascists.

Tell that to the Socialist Worker Party of the U.K. They support Hezbollah, though Hezbollah is sexist, anti-jewish, and homophobic.
