This is a bit late... but if your in the Capitol of New York State tommorow (Albany) or in New York City Friday... we will be holding a peace rally. Both Greens and Socialists will be there...( along with myself)... The following is a copy & paste of the letter I recieved in my e-mail about it.

Rally for Peace and Against the War with Iraq
Thusday Oct. 3rd at noon - Washington Ave. Armory - Lark and Washington - We will have some speakers, we then may march to the Capitol or elsewhere. Other events and actions are being discussed. Please circulate.
We will have guests from the anti-war movement on Green Indie Report on Wed. 5 to 6 PM on WRPI, 91.5 FM
The U.S. Senate is to begin debate this week on a resolution authorizing President Bush to use military force against Iraq. The resolution is expected to be approved by the both the Senate and House next week, with the only question being what limits will be placed on Bush's ability to launch the war. Congress appears intent in ignorning the overwhelming number of calls they are receiving opposing the war.
George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld want to drag our nation into a disastrous military venture against a country that has not attacked us. They want to wage a war that could lead to the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and many U.S. troops, a war that would alienate people all over the world and make us more vulnerable to attacks here at home, a war that makes a mockery of international law, a war that would cost approximately $100 billion at a time when our schools, human service programs, and superfund programs hospitals are starved for funds.
The initial sponsors of the rally include the Greens, Alliance for Democracy, Campus Greens, but other labor, community, peace and faith groups are being asked to join. Please let us know if you would like to co-sponsor.
Additional direct actions are being planned in the Capital District. Contact 286-3411 if you are interested in participating.
The Greens are also organizing a rally against war this Friday in NYC. Speakers include Ralph Nader, Stanley Aronowitz, Media Benjamin, Howie Hawkins, Leslie Cagan, Cong. Cynthia McKinney, Dave McReynolds, Patti Smith. Carpools are leaving from Albany.
