There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror... --- Mark Twain
'Reclaim The Streets' are anarchists.....anarchists do not tend to form partys.......Reclaim the Streets are a group/organisation.
Still, it's pretty cool
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free....
There's a Reclaim The Streets monthly meeting for August 19th in London. That's all I saw comrade.
There's an Ecotopia 2002, August 18-21 in Co. Kerry.
Damn anarchists! reclaim the streets, from what? finna fail? the PD's?
please, they gotta start forming liberal leftist parties instead of trouble making indivudals
There are like 50 of the muthafuckas trying to topple the fourcourts...
I'll be dammed if that works!

Yes! I'm with you on that. There need to be more real parties and not these stupid hooligan juvenile gangs.
Fuck you Pa. There wasn't 50 of us, there was about 7/800 at one stage. Next time we get the shit kicked out of us we'll sacrifice you to the pigs you turf munching piece of shit.
This is a fuckin real party. All we do is block off a couple of streets. Is that hooliganism? Wanting a less polluted city and a pedestrianised city centre?
It's more of an umbrella group of different organisations.
Actually we were heading to the Civic Offices not the Four Courts *****.
We'll never get anywhere through by working through the system. It's designed that way. There's only one way to do it, burn the fuckin system to the ground.

What parts do you think should be pedestrianised?
I don't want to have to walk out to fucking Blanche to get the bus.
on another note what is the story with taxis in Dublin, they're all over the place.....until half three when you're trying to get home and all these assholes are coming up to you and asking you for smokes and your asking all these other assholes for smokes and no one has any smokes and the taxis don't pick you up and you have to cue for an hour to get a taxi, ah.....jaysis! its a load of bollocks.
I wish I was a taxi driver.

I think from Dorset St on the Northside down to just after Stephen's Green should be pedestrianised. Basically where you'll find large crowds.
I hate having to walk anywhere to get a bus in Dublin. It's the worst fucking service in the world. The LUAS better be fucking good.
Use your legs and walk. Great excercise or so my dad tells me.
What part of Dublin are you from?

no part. I don't really think O'Connell street should be pedestrianised.
actually, when they have the Luas, then they should, and just have that running around the place.
There used to be the trams in Dublin, then they spent thousands of pounds ripping up the tracks....now they're spending thousands of Euros putting more tracks down.....stupid pricks. How about a bit of foresight lads?

I saw some of it on the news tonight. What was it like?

You should have joined us. It was pretty good though it got boring towards the end I thought. We ended up in Stephen's Green afterwards and I think some of the were going on to a pub in Camden St afterwards but I left at about 7. Thankfully it was peaceful. I don't think there were any arrests
