Just a call to all the inky-fringered fiends out there -- carry on spraying. Graffiti is not vandalism -- dont beliee the hype!!! You dont have to have real skill as an artist, with things like stencils or posters, just creativity, and a disobiediant mindset. Even stickers from sites like www.obeygiant.com can be subvertive. So go get creative, and give an alternive to corpotate advertisment!

True, sometimes there's more you can say with a can of neon green spray paint than a thousand petitions to your politicians...Sadly, most graff nowadays is inextricably linked with pussy bands like Linkin Park...
The prolonged barrage engulfed Zero-One in the glow of a thousand suns. But unlike their former masters with their delicate flesh, the machines had little to fear of the bombs' radiation and heat. Thus did Zero-One's troops advance outwards in every direction. And one after another, mankind surrendered its territories. So the leaders of men conceived of their most desperate strategy yet. A final solution: the destruction of the sky.

where i live, if you do any graffiti in a place it can be seen, its usually painted over within a week. however, the stickers seem to last a little longer.

I love graff (i donnt just mean spraypaint, also stickers, posters etc) its possible to communicate with millions of people for nothing. as Banksy says "there's nothing that cant be fixed with a good lick of paint" My favorite piece of graff is the slogan "It is forbidden to forbid" One of the funiest things I have ever heard f is Banksy's trick of a sraying an offical looking sign
"This is a designated graffiti area" on a random wall -- within days otherr deviants have covered the place with tags and murals. Fanastic!

    Hey,
All good. But we need to take it up a notch. We need to do it heavily, everywhere.

A couple of years ago, my town gave us permission to graff up the wall of a building down town, K-town rules. The problem is that many people (in my area) really don't have anything insightful to write, everything is pretty much just "fuck you".

i love graff, but personally i think my art sucks, but i wanna learn how to spray nicely, not nicely, but to fucking wake up all these stupid mo-fo's that think graff is bad, people are so messed up... a student from our school was murdered, and as a remembrance, someone put up his graff above the tunnels leading to and fro different parts of the school... our school took it down, .... graff means so much more than vandalism, it's actually art, if you use it right, and i want to know how to use it right

In the book <<Patas Arriba, La Escuela Del Mundo Al Reves>> by Eduardo Galeano he gives a great example of a message he saw written on a wall in Buenos Aires.

    The message read:
Combata el hambre y la pobreza!
    Comase un pobre!

In english this would translate to:
    Combat hunger and poverty!
    Eat the poor!

This message (which is sarcastic of course) is a great example of something that will stand out.
