Youtube?!?!

There are so much fascist videos on youtube what can we do about it. I flagged a few and those where banned but still its full of it.

Some one with a good plan around here?

Not only do the fash vids stay on YouTube, but the antifa ones get taken down.

The fash has money, so they can hire lawyers to sue YouTube, I think YouTube gets threatened with that a lot-so they leave that crap up. It's horrible.


The only strategy I've heard of concerning this is creating a leftist version of YouTube, referred to in this forum as RedTube.

You can find a thread here in Anti-Fascism on this, or search RedTube. There are a couple of threads in Chit-Chat, or somewhere. (Forgot where.)

We know of the RedTube porn site, but our YouTube group is called RedTube2007 and so far we've not had any confusion on YouTube, so it seems to be ok.

RedTube2007 is the name of our current YouTube account.

We originally wanted to call our account just "RedTube" but we found out about the porn site called that and we could not think of another name at the time so we just decided to stick with RedTube but add 2007 on the end of RedTube.

When we get our own YouTube style site or sub-forum on revleft we will call it RevTube as the Rev part of the name includes all revolutionary left wing Politics, whether it be Anarchism or Communism etc, and shows the connection to the site that started the idea of RevTube namely revleft.

The good thing about having our own version of YouTube is that none of our videos will be taken down as we are the ones in control.

We also can make a big flag as hate spatche action. Put a link on here and than everyone has to flag it or something. Than they will get removed.

Whilst thats a great idea, I don'tthink it'll work on a large scale. We could get a few taken down like that, but the number will be limited.

Just ignore those videos. Flagging them is a waste of time; you’ll never be able to take them all down and even if you do succeed they’ll be back in no time. There are far more useful ways to spend your time.

You can’t sue YouTube for removing your video. It’s their site, so they have the right to remove any video that they consider inappropriate. A lawsuit wouldn’t stand a chance.

As far as I know all videos that violate their rules (including both fash and antifa videos) are removed, though sometimes it takes a while for them to act.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I do think that the fash may bully some of the YouTube people, or maybe YouTube just has a rightist bias.

I have noticed that they remove antifa videos a lot more often.
