There are few compilations that put all that info in one place (except maybe Wikipedia). Particularly problematic is that the relationships of different movements spanning five continents are hard to generalize.

Also, the Cambridge History of Latin America has a chapter called:
The Left in Latin America since 1930 by Alan Angell
as well as chapters dealing with the labor movement and rural mobilization since the 30's. Each of those chapters contain good references to work writing about what was going on prior to 1930.
