There will be 2 great demos against WTO greedy politics held in Canada in November 2001. The first one is to be held in Montréal, Québec, on november the 9th, the gathering is at the Cabot Square, Atwater Metro, at 16h00 standard eastern time. The second one is to be held in the federal capital, Ottawa, on november the 17th. I do not where will be the gathering in Ottawa yet but I will send further notice when I have the proper information!

The WTO will be somewhere, if not in Canada, then somewhere else.
But if the WTO is in Canada, you have the chance to influence it and to demonstrate.
When the WTO was in Davos (Switzerland), I lived in Switzerland as well. For the Swiss population it was a good thing, because all the Demonstrations and information campaign opened the eyes of the people and showed new perpectives. Now over 60% of the population in Davos are for the demonstration right in Davos, if there is another WTO, before the WTO the public oppinion was very different.
That is a good example that the forum opened the eyes of the people and showed them new ideas and that the people with new ideas are no chaot and people who want to destroy everthing

actually it turns out the protest was not re the WTO (although i'm sure some people were there protesting Doha)
it was actually re: g20, IMF and World Bank

g20 is a really undemocratic element and above all a imperialistic element of the americans.
