Rock Around The Blockade in the UK wants everyone to stop drinking Bacardi.

Bacardi makes much of it's Cuban origins but after the revolution Bacardi realised they were unable to exploit the sugar workers and left where they still exploit the sugar workers of The Bahamas.

Also Bacardi use their ill gotton profits to fund the CANF (Cuban American National Federation) who are involved in terrorist attacks and assasination attempts in Cuba.

Rock Around The Blockade wants people to drink the Authentic Cuban Rum "Havana Club" which is bottled by The Cuban Government and the French company Pernod Ricard.

However Bacardi manufactures it's own Havana Club in the US which is legal under Section 211 lobbyed for by Bacardi's lawyers which allows Bacardi to use Havana Club's brand because it was created by assets nationalised by the Cuban government.

Pernod Ricard is now taking it's case to the WTO.

HHHMMMMM,

I drink l'Habana Cloooob myself when i'm in a mojito mood, and I agree with a boycott of Bacardi -
The Students Union Bars in the UK have now signed a deal with Bacardi ruling out the possiblity of them selling Havana Club. Shame on my Union!

Boycott Bacardi!
Boycott your Student Union Bar!

Have CSC drawn up a draft motion for Student Union Conference? or the up and coming Union Meetings?

I don't know and I'm in CSC! - I'll find out and let you all know!

Don't drink coca-cola either. In Colombia, they're aggressive imperialists torturing the organized workers. Everywhere, they are crushing small factories.

Yep!I heard that about that.About 60 or so union activists and members have been shot by the right-wingers,some even in the the bottling plant. But Coca-Cola say it's o.k. because the plant(Pan American Bottling,I believe)is a sub contractor. So that's alright then????????

Speaking of Coca-Cola, there's a really strange thing in Egypt.

You ask for Coca Cola and they give you Pepsi. Although they still sell Sprite which is made by Coca Cola.

but then again it's at least ŁE5 (Ł1) of half a glass but mineral water was ŁE4 (80p) for a litre.

Let Us Get ONE thing Straight.

Castro stole "Havana Rum" from Bacardi. Then sold it to Pernod Richard (who is eager to make an extra buck on communist slave labor).

And if you think Bacardi used slave labor to manufacture it's rum, I can assure you that Pernod Richard is using it now. The slaves belong to Castro. There is no where for them to run, except into the Alantic Ocean.

What's the cappie doing in this part of the community? They are only allowed in Soc. vs Cap.

Is there any way of preventing their access to other parts of the community?

Has anyone seen the poster with the Coca-Cola sign, where the two 'o's act like shackles and have a man hanging by his wrists from them?

Does anyone know where I can find the image online?

Awwww, man...Bacardi? Ok, it was getting a little too self-indulgent anyway...But what am I going to "drink to the revolution" with now? Ah, Absolut. Of course.
The prolonged barrage engulfed Zero-One in the glow of a thousand suns. But unlike their former masters with their delicate flesh, the machines had little to fear of the bombs' radiation and heat. Thus did Zero-One's troops advance outwards in every direction. And one after another, mankind surrendered its territories. So the leaders of men conceived of their most desperate strategy yet. A final solution: the destruction of the sky.

No, drink bacardi! LOL! It came from Cuba, but now it's headquarters and fame is in Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rican gov't benefits greatly from the expert of the beverage. Even though the USA tax us for it and force us to export it on their shipping marinas, we need that money, lol. I can't wait until we're independent so we could make even more money off it with USA regulations off.

well, i drink coke with pride. I just dont think about what they are doing . I could be like some people here and say "i dont drink coke, its bad!" but hey, you all drink it at least some, or at least some of its products. I just think that if awareness is raised, people will change it. however, i am in no position to do so.

Coca-Cola support right wing deaths squads in Colombia, who murder trade unionists at their bottling plants.

Christ, can't you just drink Pepsi? At least, until we find out what evil Pepsi is up to.

No, I don't, it is not hard to track down a list of their products.

I think all Coke products have the "Coca-Cola" label on them.
