After finding alot of anti-polish/foreigner racist attitudes among people in my area lately even alot of my friends say they hate the polish thinking their "taking our jobs" etc And after the launch of the Irish National Party(basically the Irish BNP).

Is it time for A.F.A to really start getting properly organized in Ireland ?(Or is it up and running already )

Antifa is a joke. The way to combat fascism is to organise in working class areas like what you're doing already Coggy. Just talk to your friends, neighbours etc and try to change their opinions especially towards foreigners in the workplace. You should know yourself arguments in favour of immigration, and that workers regardless of nationality should realise the real enemy is the capitalist. When the right is an actual on the street threat is a time for violence but they're nowhere near that stage here.

So what is your "plan" against the 50 000 bonehead scum that kill/beat up immigrants in moscow daily?

He is saying antifa's strategies are a joke, and he instead proposes only "talking" against it.

That strategy of treating fascists as "annoying silblings" yields the kind of situation Moscow is experiencing.

A.F.A Ireland is without a doubt 'up and running' already. It has been for over 15 years. They've a website (which to be honest leaves a lot to be desired), a magazine (issue 3 coming out very soon) and hold irregular benefit nights and gigs.

At this moment in time in Ireland, there is no worrying level of neo nazi or fascist activity so there is no real need for AFA to be in any more active than it is.

I thought the Irish fascist prescence was limited to a couple of keyboard warriors anyway. Ive read their websites and they're very unimpressive.

The Irish AFA are a great bunch. I've a close friend who was involved in it and several contacts still active.

Never encountered or even heard of an Irish antifa group though.

There are two approaches to anti-fascism that must both be followed, how much so depends on the context in my experience.

one is to deny a platform for active, conscious fascist groups to organise. the irish afa has been doing that well. they beat up a group of fascists, and humiliated them by documenting it online. one of those publicly renounced fascist politics for good.

the other way is what was explained above: patiently explaining to our fellow workers influenced by the far right nationalist agenda that polish workers are not our enemy. I've seen the IRSP actively working on this in Belfast and Derry, and extending solidarity to immigrant workers. The socialist party has done some excellent work here too, they did a lot to help organise with Turkish workers.
