Ive seen 8 or 9 swastikas drawn on a street I walk on almost every day to go to work, and its really starting to piss me off, its on the road, sidewalk, and lamp poles. How do I get rid of them and/ or send a message to these nazis?

buy some black or red spraypaint or markers and line them out, writing up next to it something to let passersby know that it was leftists who care enough to oppose this. something clever that shows the public that leftists aren't firebreathing devils bent on creating overarching stalinist police states, but are on the other hand people interested in social justice and equality.

this route is much better than the alternative of calling the authorities and waiting a few weeks for them to roll around and buff the vandalism. it lets people see that fascism is still visible and still needs to be fought, and that communism/anarchism is still strong, and IS fighting fascism. a good, easy way to help "de-demonize" leftism and spark interest in our ideology.

also, i think it's probably important to keep in mind that *most likely* the people who throw up swastikas aren't nazis, but tend to be young, angry, disenfranchized young people who want to start shit and spark reactions.

As JUICE said, you should X them out, and place a good ol' hammer & sickle next to it!

If only inner-city taggers tagged symbols relating to politics rather than their aliases that no one generally cares about, there would be a much more prevalent movement and awareness of resistance and support for it.

yeah, like New Left said, I'd say the swastikas are probably not actually the work of fascists, but just stupid kids that want to be rebellious or... I don't even know. Be careful if you plan to spraypaint over it. If you are caught before you complete your design, you don't want the authorities to assume you are the one spraying the swastikas in the first place, which I figure they would.

Yeah they are probly not fascists, ive met plenty of kids who just draw the nazi symbol not for a political stance but just to get a reaction. I agree with juice, let the people know that its the leftists that care and are fighting against it. who knows maybe we'll get a few more people interested in what we have to say.

that's a terrific idea!

stenciling over it (depending on size) or painting on your own can easily turn this into an antifa project.

yep thats right, members of nazi groups in the USA are recieving some of the best military training in the world .... i wonder how they will put this to use once they come home?

Generally when I see fascist graffiti I just put the circle around it and the line through it.

I think I will either black it out just so it will not have to look at a stupid swastika, or if its on a brick wall ( so its not in the wide open where I will be sighted by the police) do a picture of a person putting a swastika in a garbage can.

that's really ridiculous. I assume they are painting those because they are Christians, but... that's completely stupid. I would think they would want to draw people to their religion, not have people think "Oh, well, those Christians, they vandalize our things and disrespect our beliefs."
It seems like they're just furthering the conflict.

And for the anti-fa logo, I'm going to use that for any swastikas I see drawn in bathrooms and things
we don't generally get large swastika graffitti around where I live, but I always see them in the bathroom stalls.

Facist Graffiti will most likly be there whether you like it or not, it's what you make of it that matters. Seriously take up the ideas of modefying the symbol to either have it being thrown in the waste bin or just the simple Swastika version of the No Smoking Sign which can even go on to promote the Dead Kennedys with Nazi Punks Fuck Off.

If your not one for graffiting, perhaps call the council and go through their government to get it sorted but I personally would not take that option, mainly cause I hate dealing with the government but it will more then likly take a long time for the to get around to.

Or clean it off yourself, maybe even offer to paint the wall or suggest the owner does, sometimes its best to get the owners permission first and show up with designs, specially for store owners, you never know they might just want to have a symbolism of WWI and the crushing of Nazi Germany on their wall as a show of loyalty, but then you can also say your being historically correct and have Soviet Russia reaching Berlin first like they did, therefore you're bring across communism with permission, just different fraising which I'm sure you can make up for yourself.
