Come to a Townmeeting for a People's Impeachment Trial of the Bush Regime with the intention that 2008 is too late, the Bush Regime can do all kinds of horrible shit before then like Bombing Iran, appointing a new supreme court justice, and etc...

The demand to impeach Bush is liberal / reformist, lends backhanded support to the Democrats, and should be completely rejected by communists.

What damage could Bush do before he leaves office? The same damage Cheney would do if he were impeached, and the same damage the Democrats will do when they are able to wrangle control of the White House again. One of the Democrats' main criticisms of Bush has been that he diverted resources to Iraq when they could have been used to attack Iran instead.

Communists fight for the ouster of Bush and the system he represents.

Umm, excuse me please. Oh, I don't want to bother you...but do you suppose, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, of course, that you'd maybe stop being president? You don't have to stop if you don't want to, it's just that...well, some people are getting a bit flustered, you see, by all the people you're killing. It's your decision--you're "the decider" after all--but do please consider it. Thank you for tolerating my insolent grumblings, in all your benevolence and magnificence. Hail (heil?) president Bush: Czar of all the peoples of the Americas, charged by the Lord Almighty to be master over all the oils of His Earth--to the All-powerful Emperor George II we praise!

…Sorry for that. But that’s how I see any impeachment hearing going down. He should be run out of the country by people on the streets, and not as if he were being asked politely to leave a restaurant.

He should be ass fucked in front of his family and be suspended in an iron cage above Union Square Park, where he can be pelted with tomatoes, rocks and pigs blood…

…Sorry, sorry. I got off topic again. But yeah. In short: I do believe I’ll be attending this event. (Perhaps I gave off the wrong impression. But I know I’m going to be in the area. I hope there are still tickets left)

CdL hit the nail on the head. These acts are nothing but liberal reformist politics and should be vehemently opposed by communists. In fact, this is a great opportunity to discuss the pointlessness of impeachment with those that think he should be impeached and to help build class consciousness in the workers that support impeachment.

EDIT: And all of the actions that you have stated would be supported by the democrats, just like how they supported the Iraq war, and still do so, despite the rhetoric they spew to gain popularity. Don't be fooled by realpolitik.

What exactly do you expect to accomplish at this meeting? I hope you don't honestly expect to impeach Bush...because that's not going to happen.

I imagine it will be a bunch of bickering democrats, and a few RCP'ers, not like there's a difference or anything.
