The British Political scene is getting ever darker, the BNP (British National Party) are gaining ground. This is because the "scape goat" to british economic and social problems seems to be "Asylum Seekers". With the aggressive rants of how there will be no white people within Britain within sixty years, the british people are beginning to be drawn in.
We need some form of broadcast to tell britain how nationalism is a lost cause, this applies to all countries, the world is so intergrated how can nationalism be implemented. Plus the breeding within you own nation or in the early days tribes would lead to a genetical disaster. What can we do to stop the nationalist fever spreading in britain.

A good idea would be to find a local leftist group in your area and work with them to combat the threat.

You will have to become a revolutionary and defeat imperialism if you want to get rid of racism. If you and any of your mates want to damage the BNP, just reply to this post and I will tell you how be a single issue activist. You will have some exiting adventures which are sometimes helpfull, BUT YOU WON'T GET RID OF THE BNP TWATS because they grow out of the system, just as we do. Game on!

The guardian newspaper does a lot of good work in stemming their rise. They did a whole week of, well how-else to put it but anti-BNP propaganda - and it was extremely popular, the letters section was full of people writing in saying they were glad that the Guardian was countering it. I know its not much but its a start - i think we will have to defeat them on the grounds of propaganda, theory and literature - any direct violence will make us seem as bad them to potential leftists.

In many universities, student groups, many of which are associated with Respect and the broader UAF coalition, actively struggle against the BNP - Just recently in Bath University progressive students were able to prevent the chairman of the BNP from hosting a political event and using university facilities. Trying to contact one of these groups might be a good idea. But the most effective way to combat fascism in general is through providing a socialist alternative that the working class can understand and engage with. For that, contact the SWP *runs*

To me it seems that the reason that the BNP have been successful so far is that they do a good job of blurring racial/nationalism issues with local issues.

You need to get its members to waste more energy fighting anti racist group (not physically obviously). Start what I guess could be termed as smear campaigns against its prominents members such as writing into the big newspapers as well as the local ones where the BNP are prominent. Single out individuals in the party who have had dubious backgrounds and bring it right into the public spotlight.

The BNP only do well in elections where there is low turnout. My advice is, if the bnp are in your area, then make your vote count. The bnp did poorly in the recent council elections despite fielding a record number of candidates !!
