This is from an article i read in the paper.

Phoenix - Hundreds of members of a civilian border watch group opposed to illegal immigration began a monthlong deployment on the U.S.-Mexican border saturday and disputed assertions that migrant traffic in Arizona has fallen. Armed Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers from around the country will be stationed at observation posts along smuggling corridors in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas to spot people trying to cross the border illegally and report them to the Border Patrol, said Chris Simcox, the group's president. Volunteers also will be posted on the northern border with Canada in Washington state and on weekends in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire, Simcox said. The Arizona part of the campaign will focus on the Sasabe area south of Tucson, between Nogales and the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation. That area has the same high level of traffic by migrants as ever, Simcox said. "We are seeing the same amount of traffic, if not more traffic, then we've seen in the last two years. It's business as usual," Simcox said. The area has also seen a rash of attacks on border crossers in recent months, the most recent south of Tucson on Friday, when a pickup carrying 23 migrants was ambushed, leaving a Mexican man and woman dead. Pima Count sheriff's officials arrested two Mexican men in the attack.
"Report them to the Border Patrol" my ass, how much you want to bet that attack on Friday was carried out by Minuteman? And now they're deploying more militia to hunt down unarmed migrants, the funking cowards. I'm going to dig out my rifle and give those assholes here in Washington a proper welcoming (I'd rather go to Arizona but i don't have the means or funds to get there at the moment), and i encourage comrades in the areas those assholes are to do the same.

Yeah. If possible, show up in their area with a weapon (for self-defense), a video camera, and a cellphone. Make it clear you're there as part of a "civilian vigilante watch group" tasked with observing and documenting vigilante ("minutemen") crimes. Just try to pressure them, call the police often on them for anything (littering), etc.

These kinds of vigilante actions were quite common during the 19th and early 20th centuries when many Americans had little respect for Mexicans or Mexican sovereignty. It's only recently picked up again due to the immigration situation and the fact that border patrol is swamped while the government remains inactive.
