a couple days ago near a local university in istanbul there was a seminar against discrimination and acceptence. I and a couple of other guys from my school attended this saminar. When we where leaving there where a group of turkish fasicists othrly known as Ülkücü group who belives that the turks are the best race in the world (kinda like nazi's) there club house is just across the street from the uni its legal to have ülkücü club houses for some reason but no leftist clubs. any way they had sticks and knifes they where about 10 people and suddenly they attacked us my firend broke his ribs and I got my lip bursted it took quite a while for the cops to come but when they did that wasnt good eather instead of taking them they took us to the office and we where handed to our parents. I dont understand why the cops wouldnt go after them this is the issue in Turkey becouse the cops and the law system always protects the racist I dont think we will ever be able to have a decent protest exept on labor day. I just wanted to share this tradgic news with you guys.sorry for misspelling

The situation sounds really bad there. If you want to do something about it get into contact with other leftists or anti-fascists in you area and start planning counteractions. Strength in numbers.

The police are probably those same fascists on their days off.
Some sort of organizing needs to be done and awarness of the incident. Even if you don't think there is a lot of support, try to start something or look for somethink that is already being done, you will be suprised at the number of people out there that are waiting for a org to join.
I really don't know the particluars of Turkey but I am sure you are not the only anti-fascists. It does get frustrating when you have to fight both them and the police though.

thnx for the feedback guys we are planning some kind of attack but it cant be in a large scale becouse we are outnumbered in every area we are planning on holding peacefull protests witch I will post pictures of as soon we get them done. And we are planning a new way to get people to join us but even if we could beat the crap out of them they would do worst to us and our famillys becouse there is ilike 60 of these club houses in istanbul alone. We we will do our best to get heard we are planning some cyber attacks to there computer systems and websites.

If you do take pictures/film, make sure that it doesn't help identify your side and that it is going to be useful propaganda rather than useful evidence for the police. Also, try not to talk about doing illegal things here.

I was on holiday in turkey not to long ago and I got friendly with the barman in the hotel I was stayin at but he worked all day and night and seemed to be poorly paided and highly over-worked but he assured me he was better off than most people in his country. I mean he was working like 18-19 hours a day, falling asleep behind the bar. So one night me and a guy who was a scottish nationalist started preaching the benifits of socialism to the barman and his turkish friends and boy did they go nuts started shouting in turkish and one guy pushed me, being generaly a very agressive person and a kickboxer and very drunk I layed this yelling thug out with my scottish friend headbutting another before the barman broke up the fight obviously fearing for his job at which point two women in the bar obviously assuming the attack was racially motivated called me and my scottish friend fascist bastards and 2 other english blokes shouted seig hiel needless to say we got stuck in again lol But I was shocked at just how anti left the Turks where.
