    Elke dag krijgen we meer informatie op indymedia en revleft en andere sites, elke dag wordt het duidelijker dat de situatie er verschrikkelijk is.

    en elke dag negeren de media Oaxaca,
    ik heb 1 nieuwsartikle gezien op de vrt, waarin kort melding gemaakt wordt van politie die 'relschoppers' verjaagt van een plein in Oaxaca, over de vermoorde Brad Will wordt gezwegen.
    Ik heb al verschillende mails gestuurd naar de vrt om ze te vragen toch informatie te geven over wat duidelijk een belangrijke gebeurtenis is, vergelijkbaar met de 'oranje revoluties' in oost europa, misschien als er ůeer mensen mails sturen dat ze er dan wat meer aandacht aan besteden?

    in de Volkskrant laatst stond een heel redelijk artikel erover

    Maar dat was het ook dan

    ik denk echt niet dat mails sturen iets helpt
    de media is zo fuckin verrot

    Dat Volkskrant artikel is toch alweer een paar maanden terug hoor, of hadden ze pas nog wat?

    De massamedia heeft simpelweg andere belangen en is vandaar dus ook niet neutraal of objectief. Meer informatie over waarom de media zo "verrot" is, vind je bijvoorbeeld hier (best interessant artikel).

    Raccoon bij LSP?
    Jongen, ga daar weg nu je nog kan! LSP stelt niets voor, heeft niet de moed om degelijke acties te ondernemen en probeert bij alles wat het doet zichzelf in een fantastisch daglicht te stellen.
    Was je erbij vorige dinsdag in Leuven? 40 man voor een betoging tegen extreem rechts (alleen door LSP georganiseerd) waarvan er zeker 15 door mij verwittigd waren, en ongeveer 20 LSP'ers, die klungels kenden niet eens de weg tegoei door Leuven en hebben een kwartier voor de politie stilgestaan voor te aanvaarden dat er een kortere en betere weg verder was.
    De optocht stopte voor de Alma 2, waar alleen een paar studenten ons konden zien, maar toch beweerde een van die mannen dat dit een duidelijk signaal was en dat er een hele stap vooruit was gezet om het fascisme te bestrijden.
    Als wij 15 niet verder waren gegaan, was er nooit een tegenbetoger te zien geweest op het nieuws! Zelfs nu was het beschamend.

    Blijkbaar verschilt LSP in Leuven van die van Gent. Lijkt me een vreemde optocht

    Heh, ook belangrijk:

    Na een zonnige en warme oktobermaand heeft de winter eindelijk zijn intrede gedaan. In het Oostenrijkse stadje Salzburg kregen deze vijf sympathieke koeien meteen de volle lading, ijzige vrieskou en de eerste laag sneeuw&#33;


    Maar goed, in alle serieusheid, "De Medialeugen" is echt een must-read. Zie wat er allemaal mis is het het zogenaamde "journalisme" dat gewoon geen onderzoek meer doet wegens politieke en economische druk, en pure luiheid&#33;

    Vergeet niet dat de Mexicaanse overheid hier ook een rol in speelt, die doen het hele gebeuren af als banditisme en relletjes, wat natuurlijk niet zo interessant is om over te schrijven, maar een degelijke journalist zou tog af en toe eens moeten gaan kijken op het web, zo lang duurt het echt niet voordat je iets vast hebt dat duidelijk maakt dat de situatie wel degelijk ernstig is. Maar als je hun dan die links doorgeeft doen ze er NOG niets mee :angry:
    verdomme, dit maakt me zo kwaad&#33;

    Tja, het is vrij logisch hoe de media hier mee om gaat. Alles moet snel, want tijd is geld. Dus niemand doet meer aan onderzoeksjournalistiek. Ze zitten gewoon in hun persbureau in Mexico-Stad en copy-pasten klakkeloos het persbericht van de Mexicaanse staat.
