For all the divisions between Marxists, Leninists, Trotskyists, Stalinists and Maoists- there is one thing that puzzles me; why, if these sub-sects of communism tend to argue with each other, do anarchists and communists get along famously when they have such different aims?

no those who respect stalin and mao want the same thing as well. I dont see that marxists and anarchist get along any better than different trends of marxist.
By communists do you mean 'Leninists, Trotskyists, Stalinists and Maoists' etc? If so, huh?
If not, who do you mean?
Left-communists? Autonomist marxists? etc.?
Of all the different stripes of marxists around, undoubtedly anarchists share the most in common with left-communists and the like.
Moreover, anarchists and communists do not have 'such different aims', anarchists, like marxists, want a stateless classless society, i.e. anarchism/communism - their aim is the same.
I do think anarchists tend to get a long well with other anarchists generally, and are not as bitterly divided as marxists in this regard, but have you not heard of anarchist-communism?
Anarcho-communists are perhaps rivalled only by anarcho-syndicalists proportionally in the anarchist movement.
Many anarchists are non Marxist communists, not to say that we dont take things from Marxism, but we reject the political linneage of Lanninist parties without turning our back on the communist movement.

I think it is the sense of solidarity. We both want a revolution!
Revolution is not something fixed in ideology, nor is it something fashioned to a particular decade. It is a perpetual process embedded in the human spirit.

As far as I know, most anarchist get a long with other anti-capitalists (with this I mean communists and socialists in general) well enough, but I've seen few anarchists who were really anti-communists, and keep telling about Kronstadt 1917 et cetera.
Most communists (or at least I think so) don't agree with Soviet Union, so I don't see no reason for anarchists to hate communists, as long as the target remains the same.
Umh, and for clarification, I didn't count anarcho-primitivists and anarchocapitalists to the anarchist movement.

I agree.
I see little reason for why genuine marxists and anarchists shouldn't cooperate.
We have so much in common and so little that "seperates" us. They should be considered trivial matters (my personal opinion).
If they had faith in me and my motives, they wouldn't need a union

Well, because both "communists" and "anarchists" think that the existing economical "order" is unfair and not a very good "long term investment" (?)
Stop applauding, the spectacle is everywhere
You mean anti-Communists. The anarchists of Kronstadt were fighting against the Leninists and vanguard communists, not communists in general.

That's okay. There's no reason to be upset with you. I don't get mad at anachronisms, just feel sorry for them.
