While i despise what was done to the irsih in the last 7000 years there are several inaccuracies your analogy.
Saying that the holocaust could be called the jewish oxygen famine in the same way that the irish genocide is called the irish patato famine is stupid. THere were a number of factors which made the crop fail and while the British government acted badly and refused to help the farmers (they hada very Laissez faire economic policy at the time which made them unwilling to help any industry) it is not comparable t a situation in which a whole ethnic group were locked in a camp and quite deliberately gassed to death to deprive them of oxygen. THere was never an attempt, through industrialised slaughter, to stop every last irishman from existing. THey were able to emigrate an no i am not sayig that made it legitimate but it is differnt from beining IMPRISONED in a camp with the only way out being through a gas oven. THis showed that the German govenrment had no will to let the jews exist anywhere
If you check out the site and many others on the same subject you will see that not only did the British let the irish starve but they removed food and rerouted food shipments headed for ireland

I do A-Level history and i am sorry to tell you most of the stuff thet you read on those web sites is infact wrong. On Irish holacost the map is wrong. Many of tose regements did no even exist at the time. I know for a fact that the 61st did not because it was disbanded after Waterloo when it's colours were taken and has not been reinstated even now.
Also saying the british did nothing is infact not true. Over 185,000 worth of Indian Meal was sent to ireland at the time it was enough to feed ireland for two years.

actualy Mexican chris is correct the 61st on the map is the light regiment of foot and line, (the disbanded one). However the 61st light cavalry still exists. I was also reffering to the William of Orange incident. He invaded Ireland after the Irish slaghtered half the Protestants and english in the area, but they dont teach you that in the schools or the collages, no its all hate the engish imperialists of the 1800's, but you forget that we no longer have an empire, or wont one.
