I mean the only song from that album I liked was DOA. No Way Back was ok I guess... Dave Grohl used to be the fuckin' man. Now he's limited himself to appearing on Tenacious D albums and cranking boring "alt.rock" stuff like this. He was fantastic in Nirvana and early Foo Fighters (First two albums were good). Everything including and after One By One was shit.

I wouldn't say that. You can't compare Dave Grohl to Noel Gallagher. Grohl's talented (or should that be, was?) I must admit it's samey crap from 2002 onwards for the Foo Fighters. I will agree U2 are shit. The Edge can't play guitar to save his fucking life.

At Reading Festival last year, they were absolutely amazing - if Maiden hadn't been playing they would have been my band of the festival, no question. I quite like the first four or five songs on CD1 of In Your Honour, but apart from that agree that it was a pretty weak album. I just don't like the mellower stuff on the other CD.
Anyways, I may not agree with Grohl's politics (I seem to recall he campaigned with Kerry, even writing Best of You after he lost or something) but I love the classic Foos, lets just hope they pull it back with their next album.

I thought it was shit, until I listened to the album properly.
The colour and the shape is probably the best foo album.

Of the songs I have mostly listened to and enjoyed these are the ones I like the most:
Everlong, All My Life, Best of You.
Yes I realize these are probably the best known songs and I haven't listened to very many of the other songs hehe. But those three are quite nice. I kinda agree with Permanent Revolution, though.

It was shit, but that came as absolutely no surprise. Nirvana is boring. Foo Fighters is boring. And Tenacious D is musically boring.

I thought the first Foo Fighters album (the one with the gun on the front) was fantastic. I'll Stick Around, Wattershed, Exhausted, This Is A Call were all great songs..
I wouldn't say Nirvana were boring, the difference from Nevermind to In Utero is quite big. I mean compare "Drain You" to "tourette's". A big difference.
Dave's Probot thing was pretty cool though.
