Mazdak, Marx wasn't anti-semitic in the slightest when you read his works in german, the anti-semiticism arises in the books translated by Jews against Communism. They seemed to enjoy fucking up articles such as "On the Jewish Question" by making Marx sound bad

this is out of topic, but the part that says that jews were not active in the working class movement is not true. as i said many times before, at that time most of the jewish workers were communist or socialist. but the everything else there is true.

I don't believe someone who would advocate the eradication of classes and full equality of man would be a racist. Such words were commonplace during the times - it sounds as if someone is just trying to daemonise him for it.

okay let's get this straight. Marx was an intellectual in the 19th century. No matter how "enlightened" someone is, they very rarely think very far ahead of their time. Marx was as racist and as sexist as the next guy. His favorite insult was "you are a dirty jew of negro blood" (he was jewish . . . i think there might be bit of irony there) and he was quite sexist. When asked what he valued in a man he said strength and when asked what valued in a woman he said weakness . . . hmmm . . . my hypothesis is true. Marx was a 19th century European, just as i though all along.

As for the issue of Karl Marx, it doesn't make much difference. Not everything Marx said is right, even if he is the most influential person who ever lived. We sometimes have to beleive in our own ideas, even if it goes against Marx.

If we agreed with everything Marx said for the sake of agreeing with it because it was Marx, we would be as bad as any organised religion (it is wrong to lye because Jesus said so, no room for my own opinion here) or Stalinists (Stalin was a commie, so he must have been right, it is ok to kill millions of people because a commie did it).
