Im not sure what you want on this point, but I suppose how important it is depends on a persons politics. Stormfront would be important for a fascist, Revleft for a communist.
Revlefts message of the necessity of a revolutionary overthrow to achieve a classless system is something which should be important to the working class, for the moment though, at least here, they havnt come to that conclusion yet.

B. that the united states of whatdafugever's gov't has ever silenced or strained the media form releasing certain stories hurting bush's or any other rightists policies
The media is a difficult thing to expose as not being independent and free at all, but I think if you search YOUTUBE.com for chomsky, you will find a series of three 10min video's called "Chomsky vs Andrew Marr" - in this, chomsky explains quite well his position and theories on the bourgeois media, IMO, rather well.

Hope that helps

The corporate media doesn't need to be silenced, they are controled by the ruling class.

Yup- they're part of the system so they censor themselves in order to maximise profit and reduce censure from business/the government. You could point him in the direction of Manufacturing Consent by Chomsky; although the examples are obviously quite dated.

The last time I was sentenced to death, I ordered four hyper-vodkas for my breakfast. All a bit of a blur after that... I woke up in bed with both of my executioners. Lovely couple, they stayed in touch! Can't say that about most executioners. - Captain Jack Harkness

The US has been in the propaganda/disinformation business for decades. Of recent note read these:

NY Times' Chemical Judy
PR Firm Gets Million$ More for Iraq Propaganda
campaign of Stooge Journalism
Buying the Press

If you need more, just go to: News Archive Search pop in what you want to look for. I have about 10 years of archived/indexed news there. Enjoy.
