Sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory...but I'll tell you one I know. Here's something for the X-Files:
A fellow journalist with vast experience and knowledge in the coverage of my country's indigenous people, the Orang Asli, once whispered to me that he heard about secret experiments conducted by US Army medical teams during the Vietnam war (sic), during the mid-1960's.
According to my friend, US doctors field-tested prototype Malaria vaccines on indigenous people, going to villages in blacklisted areas posing as dentists and surgeons, injecting them the said vaccines after being infected with the disease.
The alleged vaccines were to be used for the troops in Vietnam, and in the process, many villages deep in the jungles were completely wiped out due to instability of the vaccines and the unsuccessful nature of the experiments. In exchange with covering up the said experiments, the Malayan government received weapons and financial aid, to combat it's own communist insurgency, which lasted from first acts of terrorism 1948 to the ceasefire and royal pardon of communists from the Malayan Communist Party (MCP), in 1980.
Like most conspiracy theories, I heard this one by word of mouth. I have zero proof. I have no facts. I have no references.
But it sounds plausible, to some extent, that the US could have field-tested Malaria vaccines in the country, if you leave the secret experiment part out, because Malaysia was a Malaria hotspot during the 1960's and it wasn't that far away from China Beach or Vietnam. And we had commies too.
However, the Department of Indigenous Affairs was unavailable for comment.
Sound's mad, eh?
The prolonged barrage engulfed Zero-One in the glow of a thousand suns. But unlike their former masters with their delicate flesh, the machines had little to fear of the bombs' radiation and heat. Thus did Zero-One's troops advance outwards in every direction. And one after another, mankind surrendered its territories. So the leaders of men conceived of their most desperate strategy yet. A final solution: the destruction of the sky.
