What kind of a question is this? Of course it was a revolution and might I add, the only socialist revolution. The only revolution that the proletariat has seized the power with an alliance of peasants. Marx would be rejoiced of this revolution as he would concur this was a socialist revolution. All revolutions after were nonsense. And by the way, the October revolution was in the year 1917 and not in 1918. Others may fool each other with this revolution but I've read books and I now this was the only socialist revolution in the history.
