I know some of them like the other about 11-6 (Two brothers seperated from the skys....etc) and i would like to say that the : Come the millennium, month 12/ In the home of greatest power / The village idiot will come forth/ To be acclaimed the leader."

Nostradamus was a very interesting man , and a lot of his socald hellucinations came true. the predictment of histler , the french revolution even what you've allready announced the 11th of september

he also predict that after the separation of the two brothers , there would start a third world war.
and eventually somewhere either from the middle east or asia , a man with no status or rank (Civillian) would set off a nuclear bomb , also the floods that lately strike europe and asia where peredict by Nostradamus and according too him it will get worse.
The war i was talking about evolded in a nuclear world war and would last for so many years that we would not live long enough to see peace, but once peace is accomplished ,the world will live happenly ever after

i've read this somewhere in a book about nostradamus
dont if its true though
but it can't be some lucky guess that he made 400 years ago

E refered to a Midle east-Ocident war that would last decades yes! but i dont think a nuclear war can last long since it only takes about 100 nuclear bombs to fuck the world, and just the USA has suficient bombs to destroy the world about 3 times! soo it cant be a nuclear war!

Nostradamus has mostly been translated incorrectly by people with little understanding of modern French, let alone Middle French. His "Hitler Prophesy" is in reality, writing about rivers, his "Anti-Christ prophesy" in reality refers to accountants. One of the things he did predict was the Kennedy Assasination and he was only out by 1 day. However, had the idea of progress been around, he would not have made such a prediction as it was based on the layout of the stars the day Ceaser was assasinated.

He had to write everything as cryptic as he could; there are reasons for that. Yes he was writing about a river, the river Hitler just happened to be born next to. I don't have a lot of experience with studying Nostradamus so I can't give any examples of prophesies, sorry.

I have however heard of his predictions for a WW3, and what I've heard seems pretty convincing but I'm not going to believe it until I see it

But for the record, I fall for this stuff most of the time

Not a true hit worthy of note from him.
The only specific prophesy he made, regarding 1999, was a non event. His vague and often cryptic ones are "decoded" after the event. Funny how that works, hindsight 20/20.

It's easy to do what he's done, gve me 500 years 3 languages and a bit of knowledge about how society moves- voila psychic powers. Issac Asimovs theories of psychohistory (fiction I know) are to a certain degree visible in Nostradamas' work.

his exact words dont make any sence. just take the first quatrain of the first century:
Sitting alone at night in secret study;
it is placed on the brass tripod.
A slight flame comes out of the emptiness and
makes successful that which should not be believed in vain.
What the fuck dose that mean?!? I dought anyone can make sence of that. I think he was just some old man who liked to write shit that dosen't mean anything and see what happens when he saiys its the futur.

I'm afraid I'd have to go with MJM on old Nosty, he was obviously tripping on some magic mushrooms half the time he was coming out with all those "predictions".

I mean, no offence to all you believers out there, but we interpret the past according to the present most of the time, and as far as it goes, people will believe what they want to believe when it comes to these things.

How many times was he right out of all those predictions? Even if the ration turned out to substantiate a shred of truth, what do statistics mean to you?

That's not about Nostradamus, but about the prediction of the future events.
There was one Russian poet, biologist and philosopher, whose name was Velimir Khlebnikov. This man predicted the collapse of the Tsar's empire, the creation of the USSR and it's furhter collapse. Here comes the most interesting part, he also predicted the possibility of the Soviet Union reappearance. This will happen in the year 2007. Of course , if this happens , it wouldn't be the copy of the USSR, but at least Russia would become a communist state.

About the nostradamus thing, its not about believing or not believing, its about some stuff he said really apened, go ahead say whatever you want, he alredy predicted many stuff!

Vladimir Putin is an ex-KGB agent, the Moscow president is marxist, like manu other presidents and important people in russia! so that may apen!

I've heard he said that China would end being a communist country. Guess what? CHINA IS NOT A COMMUNIST COUNTRY. He predicted Hitler but he didn't predict STALINISM. I still think that Marx, Engels, Trotsky, Lenin were the best who made predictions.

Nastradamus is HIGHLY misunderstood. I have read all of his predictions according to many different translation. The fact is, he wrote in an encrypted language which we will never be able to dcypher (although he predicts that 2017 (around there) that we will finally dycpher his works). He also wrote TONS of shit. If you printed out all of his predictions you would have hundreds upon hundreds of pages. Since we have not been able to acurratly translate his work, we can't read any of it. Something happens, they look at his work and they try and find something similar.They only find out about predictions after the supposed predicted event occurs...

So, what's the point of this decyphering? Was he too scared of what he has written? Maybe he didn't want others to hear the future. Who knows, I need more information about this if I'm going to marxistically judge the situation.

He was afraid that he would be killed for sorcery and stuff like that. He supposedly wrote it in his secret language to protect it in hopes that sometime in the future it would be read.

If I was yo say all I can about this guy,i'd overload this site,

When he was feeling in a horrible mood,he'd sit in a chair In his study.He would then go into a trace-like state.
&and whilst staring into a basin of water he' take notes with his quivering hand.

He later changed this when he published his book "the centaries" to avoid being declared a heritic.
