Mainly, it depends on what you are, but if you're talking about high (and not just stoned), Aphex Twin definitely, Prodigy, any kind of Goa![]()
(preferably Dark Goa, Psy Goa etc.), Acid, Electro, Hardcore, Darkcore... but you really have to be in these genres. I mean, I used to hate some of these,
but after getting high, like really
high, like acid high, you're hooked baby, oh damn you're hooked, and oh damn it's so awesome. Yeah well I'm fucking high right now. Holy fuck yeah. Hellfish, Aphex Twin, Bubble, Ectoplasm, DOTOM, Astral Projection, Ellen Allien & Apparat, Daft Punk, Cassius, Acid Junkies, yeah,
you know what the fuck I'm talking about, bring it on, high like a motherfucker baby.

March at the head of the ideas of your century and those ideas will follow and sustain you. March behind them and they will drag you along. March against them and they will overthrow you.
Napoleon III
Yay for Venus in Furs
I suppose you could listen to some real hardcore rave or something
But if youre stoned the music you want is The Doors.
"Do or die, you'll never make me, cause the world will never take my heart. You can try, you'll never break me. Want it all, i'm gonna play this part, wont explain or say i'm sorry
im not ashamed, i'm gonna show my scar."
If you can get your hands on it (I've only been able to find it online, can't find any info on the artist online which leads me to believe it's some sort of independent release) the rap song "Smoke Weed" by Khmer Kid is pretty amazing.![]()

How about you guys quit killing your brain cells instead? I think you're all in serious need of a better hobby if sucking on a plant is the highlight of your day.
Life is something worth dying for.
Yeah, post-rock pretty much is the best when you are high. But post-rock cannot be background music. It must be consciously listened too and absorbed.
Goa is king. Astral Projection makes me feel high even when I'm not. I'd just go under a blanket and feel like I was flying through space.
I'd suggest the Flaming Lips, especially 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots'
If you're a fan of Jamaican music, the Scientist (from Grand Theft Auto III fame) made quite a bit of excellent dub in the 80's, and it exemplifies the stoner vibe with it's heavy and slow base.

You can't get any movement larger than five people without including at least one fucking idiot.

"Mr. Bush: worry about the problems of the United States. Venezuela's problems are Venezuela's."
-Hugo Chavez
There is absolutely no evidence that marijuana damages brain cells.
Alcohol on the other hand, a totally legal drug does cause brain damage.
And before you say smoking marijuana causes cancer, a recent study suggested that one of the cannibinoids present in the smoke actually causes cancerous cells to die.
I wonder if you're so puritanical about sex?

They're still pretty good, though. (Free Tibet, LSD, People Can Fly)
Everyone likes all this trippy thoughtful sort of music when high, personally I prefer metal. Children of Bodom or Deicide or something, I love it even more when I'm high.
“People think they have taken quite an extraordinarily bold step forward when they have rid themselves of belief in hereditary monarchy and swear by the democratic republic. In reality, however, the state is nothing but a machine for the oppression of one class by another, and indeed in the democratic republic no less than in the monarchy.”
- Friedrich Engels
Im suprised with all the trippy music no one mensioned Infected Mushroom. I just dled some astral projection. I never listened to them, pretty good, I'll give it a try during next high.
I've never listened to any hardcore or metal while smoking. I always assummed when high youd enjoy more mellow music. I'm gonna give it a try though. Maybe some A Dozen Furies, the Refused, or Children of bodem.
Freedom without socialism, is privilege and injustice, but socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality.

<span style=\'color:red\'>LuXe - Porn.</span>
<span style=\'color:green\'>Luxemburg89 - Completely stuck to the rules I stated, impressive vocabulary, poetic yet brutal and contains that element of doubt that we all have in ourselves sometimes. I find LuXe's story representative of childhood fear, teenage angst and ending with adult apathy. Beautifully written and brilliantly thought out. We should all be proud to be in LuXe's presence. Thank you.</span>
