Whiute people are discriminated against all the time, and no one gives a shit. Cracker and Honkey or however you spell it are perfectly acceptable. Pukass white boy doesnt piss anyone off. I think racism is stupid. People should see the beauty in the contrast between races religions and cultures, and forget these words of hate, or at least their meaning. My point is that people don't care when whites are discriminated agaisnt because they're in the majority in America. Well, not in California. And what happens when we become a minority? Might also be worth pointing out that a lot of the white complaints will have been due to racial abuse between whites. Especially as it was from a survey so what counts as racial abuse will have been a self definition (e.g. if a Scot complained that he was racially abused by an English person that would count, even though they are technically the same race).

Or by 'discrimination' do you mean, that sometimes white people get called names like cracker? Words that have little to no impact.
Those words have nothing even distantly approaching the historical-contemporary baggage as, racial slurs used against 'non-white' people - precisely because whites in the US historically have been the oppressor, the ones with power, not a disempowered, 'racially' oppressed group.
Not even many white people, because whites (with the exception of white nationalist wackjobs) don't feel oppressed as a 'race' - clearly because they are not.
And rightly so!
Words like 'nigger' and 'cracker' are not comparable.
One is directed at an historically oppressed group, and is used by the historical oppressor to insult and degrade. The other is a term used by the oppressed, and has its roots in the slave plantations, the 'cracker' as in the master who cracked the whip.

Yeah, white people are SOOOOOOOO oppressed. Learning about your privilege would do you some good. Of course, I say that on the mere assumption that you're white, but I think I'm pretty correct based on your comment.
I just want to point out that the structures for reporting racially motivated violence are themselves overwhelmingly white, which means that white people have greater access to them, and generally feel more comfortable accessing them than Black people.
Anyway, this discussion reminded me of this article in Indymedia, about how the law essentially serves those who are already in power in society, while further victimising those who are marginalised.

The word later became associated with an overt contempt, a racist assumption of black inherent inferiority, even of bestiality, making it extremely pejorative, and is now almost universally considered to be extremely vulgar.
The word Negro stems from the Latin word Niger, meaning black. In English, negro or neger became negar and finally nigger, most likely under influence of French nègre. Neger (sometimes spelled "neggar") prevailed in northern New York under the Dutch and also in Philadelphia, in its Moravian and Pennsylvania Dutch communities. In the past, nigger was sometimes used as a synonym for "defect".
