I would call it an embryonic form of Social revolution, maybe what we are witnessing is the end of the Crisis of theory* in many European countries. This would be a quantative step forward if I was correct (might not be), and a thing worth celebrating. But I am getting ahead of myself again!

    Sorry I have no links

*(For Smoer and anyone)-The Crisis of Theory is the crisis we are facing at the moment, there is a Crisis because much of the world sees no alternative to the rule of the capitalists

Embryo, literally, is what you call a baby inside the womb (if I remember my GCSE Biology correctly). So embryotic means something in an early stage of develpoment.

Well, my father has a very wise doctor who has read u now like millions of books(he is like one of the tibetian monks but not religious).

He said that this capitalistic tyrrany we are now facing will end within 10-15 years.

And in my local paper there was an article written by an noewgeian(who had predicted the fall of USSR 10 years before) he predicted the fall of the USA whitin about 20 - 10 years. This he based on a number of reasons thats always happenin before a supernation(even happened to the Romans) would fall.

Honestly no, anyone that claims it is really is just doing some wishful thinking.

Strikes happen all the time. They don't necassarily lead to revolution.

it can however have positive effects by changing the political atmosphere, making more people socially concious, and getting more people to think.

That doesn't however mean that drastic changes will occur, though it can have good effects

What would be nice is if all the tuc members went on strike.
Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win.

The growth of militancy in the world now is not a coincidence
Are you suggesting that the Venuezuelan, Argentinian, Bolivian and Peruvian Strikes and disorders are all a coincidence?

or do you mean the German, French, Austrian, Italian and to a certain extent the British union activity and deemonstrations and strikes are all a coincindence.

These strike and disorders were not happening 5 years ago, it has only been the case for the last 2 years, and will only last for another 5 years maybe, by which time we should have pierced through with the revolution

Please dont underestimate the workers and the power of the masses in revolution.

    good for them.

However the US will quell any discontent if it gets too out of hand

From what I can tell, and I could be wrong about this, the present upsurge of working class militancy in Europe and Latin America is still defensive in character.

The international capitalist class, facing always the problem of the falling rate of profit, has been attacking the historical gains of the working class in every country for the last decade or more...seeking everywhere what they cannot openly state but hope to achieve: a fall in real wages.

In a number of countries on both continents, workers have at last begun to see what is really going on...and have responded with militant action in the workplaces and on the streets.

This is still quite far from revolution...but it is a necessary step in the right direction.

There being no known way to predict the future in useful detail, it remains to be seen if the working class in one or several of these countries takes the offensive against the capitalist class.

If and when that happens, it will be easy to tell. When the working class rises in a mass insurgency, it looks like nothing else on the planet.

    Until then...

Listen to the worm of doubt for it speaks truth.

all it takes is co-ordination, there have been numerous strikes in UK for example, some small some big but co-ordination will make governments take notice, bringing countries to a standstill.

the protests at rising fuel prises here was major, the strikes by firefighters, atc, public transport etc but they didnt happen at once, they were dealt with individualy and individually there was not much they could do to fight the government.

This was predicted by Einstein in 1949. Review this link.
