800 nazis gathered at Kungsholmen (an island), Stockholm. Two antifascist demos gathered nearby. The militant demo gathered perhaps 400, and the non-militant one did maybe the same. They were also a lot of spontanious non-organized resistance carried out by bypassers, locals and groups of youths.
Positive:
They (the nazis'march was delayed by a few hours.
Their marsch route was diminished by perhaps 60%.
We did manage to hold our protests close to the nazis, and not in central city as the police wanted.
Most of us were working class people and a large part were imigrants.
We held our lines well, and it took the cops several hours to bus all of us out from the city.
We were back in the city after an hour, and during that time we supplied ourselves with free food and soda at a local gas station.
We gave the police a very hard time, even though their HUGE resources at this day.
Very few of us were arrested (and all released), the nazi propaganda minister were arrested though.
The nazis shamed themselves when interviewed in national television.
The nazis were mocked, disturbed and humiliated by bypassers during their marsch.
Central Stockholm were kept free from nazi gangs.
Negative:
The nazis did hold their marsch after all.
The police managed to block most routes to Kungsholmen and stop and search us for weapons etc.
The militant demonstration was stopped quite early, and we failed to break through the police lines when we had the chance.
We could have gathered more.
No mayor confrontation with the nazis.
Would have been nice to see some nazi bashing![]()

I watched the vid and in the first bit it was only a few cops with clubs stopping the whole crowd from advancing. Why didn't you guys just charge them with a few shields with the momentum of the crowd? You should have been able to mow them down easy enough.
I agree. The old man was to aggro and did not seem very well trained, the young guy seemed afraid and we could have pushed path the woman as well. Though we would not have gotten far anyway, still we could have reached better grounds. It was a perfect crossroads not far from there and it was right in the way of the nazi's march route. But the cops managed to squeeze us together into an alley.
The frontline should have breached the police lines, those in the back however had their vision blocked, they did not really know how many police there was et cetera. But besides this, we did manage quite well overall.
