In the thousands of horror movies I've watched, and there is a gay or lesbian character--they always die in the course of the movie.

In such movies a hetero-couple always survives.

I am quite serious when I say that I always thought it was the black guy that died first. I think Anaconda was the only movie to break that.

I dont remember any horror movies with homosexuals. Could you name some?

I've noticed that queer characters tend to be miserable, and its been that way throughout the history of cinema. You might as well say "See, if you were hetero you wouldn't have all these problems!" This isn't specific to horror movies though, can you name some?

Has anyone noticed how on reality TV shows they always have one token gay man (lesbians don't exist in the public sphere apaprently) and they often get kicked off really early. They're also not only allowed to be gay as long as they don't talk about/have sex...

The last time I was sentenced to death, I ordered four hyper-vodkas for my breakfast. All a bit of a blur after that... I woke up in bed with both of my executioners. Lovely couple, they stayed in touch! Can't say that about most executioners. - Captain Jack Harkness

The first guy to win Survivor was gay (maybe he doesn't qualify as a 'token gay man' though cause he wasn't very sterotypical?)

Anyways...about the origional topic...i dont watch horror films enough to know really...i think its a genre where peripheral characters get killed off more frequently and in commercial films peripheral characters are more likely to be from minority groups (and, often not as mainstream attractive as the main characters)...so it wouldn't surprizing i guess.
