Ok, I'm not really sure hwo too phrase htis but, here goes nothing.
(Sorry if the grammar seems casual and theres no real question or anyhting, I'd just like your thoughts ont he subject.)

So theres this teacher at my school who is obviously christian, obviously right wing, and very biggoted towards any one who is leftist (in Amerikan moderate terms, not to mention true radicals) But on to the story.

So I go into math after a night of little sleep and a bunch of saftypins on hand a pair of sizors and a large pair of baggy pants. I had cut the pants along the legs to make soemthing akin to a dress (I am a guy mind you.) and she gave me this look of disgust as i came int he room. The next day I come to the class wearing dress pants and a button up shirt. the day before the shirt had been a typical punk shirt, anti-Amerikan (Bar code flag).
Also this teacher has expressed contemot for homosexuals, "My brothers boyfriend, I mean girl friend..." "Thats good the first way you put that was wrong" and multiple other comments like that "Voting demacrat is the ultimate sin (jokenly)."

But I am askign for your thoughts, and if I should report any of this? If you think it would do any good any ways, or anything.

Try to get some 'hard evidence' of her prejudices, so that they cannot be refuted, in the very least someone to support you as a witness. Otherwise she'll probably just deny having said anything of this nature, and yes you should report it, try to find a sympathetic teacher or 'adult' to help you present your concerns - unfortunately without 'adult' support your claims may not be taken seriously. Take it to your principal first and see what they do, if nothing happens you could 'over their head' and see what happens, you could also try to contact the media to get the story out if no action is taken against the teacher.

You want to report your teacher because she gave you a bad look (although, didn't actually complain or comment directly in any way) on a day when you came into school in a home-made punk skirt outfit?

As much as i'd love to see you get your rightwing christian teacher in trouble, i just don't think you can. She's not required to agree with your fashion judgements and she didn't actually discriminate against you in anyway, didn't tell you what you could or couldn't wear or anything like that or even ridicule you directly.

Lots of times people dress in aggressive punk outfits to elicit reactions, seems like you got one that was neither over the top or any sort of injury you need repaired. Her comment on someone's brother's boyfriend/girlfriend (i didn't even totally understand what you were saying was said to be honest) might have seemed sketchy but frankly, theres enough room for her to have a lot of plausible deniability about her intent with that (she might have meant, or claim to mean, that its 'wrong' in the sense of being a wrong discription or being wrong to suggest that this poor guy's gf was a guy or wrong to imply that this persons straight brother was gay or any number of other non-homophobic interpretations...she might have in fact meant it in a homophobic way but you can't show that she did).

She very well maybe homophobic but she's not done anything in class thats sufficently explicit for you to have a case against her, so if you try to go over her head you'll just look foolish i think.

edit: if you really want to mess with her, ask her about her opinions on homosexuality, directly, in religious terms, in class in front of people. Next time she says being a democrat is a sin, say "Do you think gays go to hell?" lol...

Guess I'm not the only one who wears skirts, .

I am going to have to agree with TragicClown, if your a male and wear skirts, and other androgynous and taboo clothes for a male, combined with counterculture shirts, weird stares, and harsh comments come with the territory, I get them all the time, although I don't wear punk T-shirts, (I prefer button up dress shirts, and can say I only own very few T-shirts which I never wear), I still get dozen of appalled stares, and rude comments.

However if your teacher continues to harass you or your views, and keeps bashing us gay folk, then I would seriously talk to your guidance counselor, and see if what she is doing falls under any violations, if so, and she continues to harass you, I would bring up on said violations.

Actully I don't want to report her, it's really not worth my time, it was more just a topic of discussion and asking what some one else would have don in my place. I know what I'm getting into when I wear taboo clothing, I was just posing a situation that had happened, maybe this wasn't the right place?

I hate the gender roles in this fucking country, especially here in the midwest. I wear my hair long and I wear studded belts and I get comments all the time. Why should people care how long your hair is or what kind of clothes or accessories you have on?

This used to be an issue I passionately engaged in, I would dress "eccentrically" or with little regard for gender roles a lot, especially from 14-16. Eventually I did it less frequently, not because I worried about my appearance, but rather because the main issue seemed to be my dress and not what it was supposed to be about. I suppose I now dress kind of "normally" much of the time, but hold my "eccentric" <_< views...where as before it was assumed the other way around.

I still own several skirts/kilts and tops that I have freely being exchanging with female friends for sometime, but these tend to come out primarily during festival occassions.

Decadence: I totally admire what you're trying to do. These false ridiculous gender roles piss me off no end and I think it's really cool that you're actually going against them - same applies to the other guys here saying the same thing.

Report it if you think it's serious enough to do, though I doubt that much would be done about it. I think however that something may be done about the derogetory remarks regarding homosexuals if you reported that you were offended by them.

Indeed. As a female I'm expected to have long hair otherwise I'm immediately labelled a lesbian (I'm not, and don't have any problems with lesbians but I don't really appreciate the labelling).

But er...what's wrong with studded belts in America? Load of people in Britain wear them with no weird looks or comments.

Stud belts, bullet belts, and the like are all associated with the punk scene and other less accepted "scenes". And we all know punks are unsavory [/sarcasm]
