Now, as you well know, our beloved (!former PM is getting on in years. Now, being born in Yorkshire, my old man was only too eager to tell me of how she ruined British industry. I have heard rumours that my sister's boyfriend (also a comrade) has, with friends, had the idea of organising a party all along the A1 road. I said to him "what about the poor people in Lancashire and the Mining areas of South Wales and Scotland celebrate, what with the trains being extotionate mow they're owned by barons!"
Does anyone have a better idea of how to throw a party to celebrate? You all know how happy the people are to be rid of tyrants!

In what relations do the Communists stand to the proletarians as a whole? The Communists do not form a separate party opposed to other working class parties. They have no interests separate and apart from those of the proletariat as a whole. They do not set up any sectarian principles of their own, by which to shape and mould the proletarian movement.

It is only by strengthening ourselves ideologically, inculcating in ourselves the values and ideals of the struggle and building up the ranks of the revolutionary party that we will make it.

^true that,I've a postcard for that on my wall upstairs "The Saturday after she dies, bring a bottle and friends". I would like there to a healthy Irish contingent there, but I don't think I'd make it sadly!
To think the IRA nearly blew her up on the toilet seat once...would have been more than fitting.
So I'll wear no convict's uniform,
Nor meekly serve my time,
That Britain might brand Ireland's fight,
Eight hundred years of crime

What Margret Thatcher did to this country was sick, she put millions of ordinary, every day people out of work by stopping large amounts of industry and nearly destroyed the economy.
It'll be fun celebrating her death.

Her treatment of the Miners on strike was disgusting, she set out to reduce the power of trade unions. In the end,all she did was make them stronger as people however, if Trade-Unionism could survive Thatcher, it will live on forever!
She proved that one alright...
" Denis Thatcher will become Lord Mayor, Mark Thatcher will set the rates,
Margaret Thatcher will become the Queen when the Queen she abdicates,
She'll have Cruise on Hyde Park Corner, plastic bullets in Southall,
The Paras back from Crossmaglen to protect Whitehall"

I never said it was immoral, but I do think that it is sick.

Someone who believes that that person's death is something to celebrate, I.E. lots of people in wales, scotland and the north of england.
Anyway, what is the throwback to the imperialist, expansionist regime of yesteryear?
Do you worship nelson or something?

Class War organised it
if you can't make it, maybe ask Class War to borrow some cash? or ask what their members up north are doing, there's no reason there can't be loads of parties.
"How you cling to your purity, young man! How afraid you are to soil your hands! All right, stay pure! What good will it do? Why did you join us? Purity is an idea for a yogi or a monk. You intellectuals and Bourgeois anarchists use it as a pretext for doing nothing. To do nothing, to remain motionless, arms at your sides, wearing kids gloves. Well, I have dirty hands. Right up to the elbows. I've plunged them in the filth and blood. But what do you hope? Do you think you'll govern innocently?"-Jean-Paul Sartre

and each time you come to Dublin well we know just what you'll do
you'll dress up in your finery and preach with all your might
but all of your fancy promise's are just a load of ---
We love you Mrs Thatcher like your old man loves his brew
such a lad your husband Denis when he's had a sup or two
sure he'll take a pint of porter and a glass of Irish mist
and because he faces you each night no wonder he gets ---"

Even whan Mrs. Thatcher was at her peak, 58% of Britons voted for parties to the left of her Tories. You're damn right that there will (and should be) a lot of celebrating when that fascist fuck dies...From her constant assault on the rights of workers, to that motherfucking poll tax, to her ultra-homophobic education and social policies, to that ridiculous war in Argentina...This woman was fucking crazy...She always pissed and moaned about how BRIAN FUCKING MULRONEY of all people was too left-wing.![]()
Thatcher is a monument to how fucked up the Westminster System is and how people dumb enough to support it over more proportional methods don't deserve to cast ballots.
England Expects, you could view her death in one of three ways:Now mourning would not make a lot of sense, because lets face it, not may of us were personally acquainted, and fewer would care. Also there is now need for some crappy pseudo-religious view of death, it is a fact of existence, there is no need to treat it as special.
- You could be happy
- You could be sad
- You could be indifferent
Being indifferent would be fine, because it won't really make that much difference, and there isn't too much reason to feel otherwise.
Celebrating her death; well that is what some cultures do when people die, so a Eurocentric view of death as a tragic event is perhaps a little inadequate. In this instance though it is suggested that we celebrate her death because of the attrocities she committed in life, and I suppose I would be for that. If a modern day Hittler or Pol Pot were to "pop their clogs" would you not feel a slight bit of satisfaction? At least on behalf of the millions that suffered? I think that it would be a little indecent to not be glad that they are dead, than to be glad they are.
Remember, it is not really the death of the individual on a personal level that we celebrate, we simply cannot know, it is the ideas that she stood for. Thatcherism was a plague of the latter 20th century in Britain, and as one of "Thatcher's children <_<" I would see this as no great shame.
I just had a look at the London Class War site, and they;ve gone to the trouble of putting parts of the site in Welsh and Irish!
also, the stickers on the side are a nice addition, if my printer worked once in a while, I'd put them to good use <_<

I'm more or less the same age as Hegemonic, so luckily people of our generation were born towards the end of Thatcher's misrule. Even so, I will be just as ahppy as anyone older than me when she finally does die.
I can post you some.
