Under a Communist, or Socialist Society. Would there be different companies making the same product?...such as, i dont know, tape. Would there be different tape companies or just one brand? If theres many of them, then they would compete...Correct?

I have asked this before, but I havent gotten a solid or easily understandable answer. What would be done to someone who doesnt work, or slack off? Techniqually, people arent working, but they are doing something.

If there is equal pay to everyone...Then how would people save up for something? If I saved all of my money up for...lets say a really good drum set, then people with "ordinary" drums would be angry. Would people be able to donate to charities? How does payment/money/saving up/spending/and being paid all be handled?

Would people own there own house, or would the "government" own it? My teacher said the government would...but i didnt think there was a gov. Would people own anything? If they did, is that considered property?

Would there be good products, and bad products, such as nice computers or average computers. Or Nice drums, or bad/cheap drums. Would things be more expensive to us (the people).?
    Thanks,

In a communist society there would be no companies so there would be no competition.
I think that everyone would work because they are creating products for their friends and neighbours ie benefiting society. But people would not be forced to work, although if they didnt the community would probably look down on them and because of that social pressure they would work.

In a Communist society there would be no money so you would just go down to the store and pick up what you need. You have to remember, people would not all have the same things but they would have an equal opportunity to get them.
There would be no charities because everybody would have what they need and if a dissaster occures the rest of the community would be able to support them.

There would be no government in the traditional sense of the word, there would just be a council where the people can decide what happens in their specific community.

People do not own the land but I do believe there would still be a need for some private property eg I wouldnt want to share my clothes with my neighbours

There would still be different types of product eg fast/slow computers. But people would be able to get a better model as soon as it is made, just go down to the local store and bring it home.

Socialism is a whole different story, just think of it as a lesser form of capitalism, more based towards people and not money.

    Hope i was helpfull comrade

i heard that in socialism, people are still payed, and there are still some people who get payed a little more, such as fire fighters, because they risk there like.

Yes in Socialism money still exists and people do get payed more then others.
Also a government still exists,it is much larger and controls most aspects of society.
It is what is called a "Workers State" it works for the benefit of all people and not just the wealthy business men.

for the sake of clearing things up, Marx talked about private property, as in that of the means of production..capital
