I first heard about this from a customer at work.. sadly, they were under the impression that the protestors were leftist anti-war protestors, not right-wingers.

Their church is attacked fairly routinely, and the local cops and government don't bother to look into it.

They just stopped into Lincoln the other day for a funeral. My sibling goes to the same high school (I did too) as the dead soldier from here did... so some in the school went to the funeral. Apparently those biker people were handing out US flags

It is linked. I saw a documentary on this a while ago, and the godhatesfags lot told a Swedish tourist (straight) that the reason why his wife and kids (includiong young child) were killed in in the Tsunami in Indonesia was because of the sexually degenerate nature of his society. The woman asserting this shouted him down with religious dogma, and the Swede was more in disbelief than upset at that time.

Apparently they would accept a homo-sexual into their church however as a normal member, the idea being that judgement is god's not theirs. They just feel that they are doing a duty by spreading "his" word.

I am not sure about that, but the godhatesfags lot are a nasty bunch. Whilst we are on the subject the Lisbon earthquake, and pretty much any diaster for that matter is seen by them as punishment for sins that more often than not are linked to sexual preference.
