Am I a geneous? Am I an idiot? Who knows but this is not a question. The true question that I myself face every day is "how do I find political enlightenment in a capitalist society?" I find myself in a world that is completely different from the world I saw at ten. In capitalist societies we find ourselves in a daze, in that we believe truely that our government has our interest in mind. At the age of ten we truely believe that the world all is right in the world. We truely believe that life is perfect; we don't believe that poverty could exist in the world; we don't believe that our brothers in this world are starving. But the facts are clear; the top seven richest people in the world are richer then the poorest forty eight countries. As well as that we think that somehow people always do whats good for other people. Living in the United States it was a shock to me that $419.3 percent of our 2006 budget will go towards research and development of weapons to murder and maim our brothers. Unfortunately through our adolescant years we find ourselves desensatised towards the true world. Some people might still be living in a bubble completely devoid of the true nature of the world; but some of us know the true facts of the world. Some of us know the true facts of the proliferation of war worldwide; some of us know of the proliferation of international slavery; some of us know the incredible disparities between the rich and the poor. Some of us know the true nature of the world.

But let us imagine for a moment what the true nature of the world was at age ten. Did you truely believe that all was right in the world? Did you truely believe that this world was just? I know that at age ten I did not really believe that anything could be wrong with this world in any sense. At age ten I admit to you that I couldn't imagine a world outside of Havertown Pennsylvania. Could any of you imagine a world outside of your protective nests? It might be difficult for the politically aware to imagine a world where their politics were board games and dodgeball. We should often reflect on our growth throughout the years; without this unbiased view on ourselves we might forget one simple fact; that we in fact know little. It is often a key philosophical point that "true knowledge is knowing that you know nothing"; this very well may be true, but how often do we think about this? How often do we question our own morality, our own knowledge, our own perspetive?

From this I challenge you to look at what you know. How much do you think you know, and how much do you wish to know? If you stay focused on what your perspective is now, then you will be out of sync with the world. You have to constantly challenge your own perspective in order to constantly grow. We as human beings have a responsibility to constantly metamorphasize to this world; and I don't mean that in the sense of conformity. I mean that in the sense that we have to constantly question everything around us, in order to grow as human beings. If enough of us do this; then eventually we will be able to eradicate the constant oppression that we see happening around us. I once read that "most people want to die for a cause, but living to fight for it is much more important" (and i'm paraphrasing). If this is true then the cause of our indignation should constantly be changing, as is the world.
I believe in the type of freedom that doesn't proliferate international death, enslavement, and suffering. I believe in true freedom.

People who use the word cause often think a democrat In Office Is one for the good guys. It's an okay article but it does'nt really go anywhere, It has no objectives, other than to tell us you can think and come to conclusions, even if they sound like post modern jibber jabber.
But now we must pick up every piece
Of the life we used to love
    Just to keep ourselves
At least enough to carry on
