Why in order to escape sexism do women feel they have to wear the biggest shit or look homely. I dont think that is true. Your still not going to escape sexism cause we live in a sexist world.
But my article for the day is on sexual power.

Most women spend so much time on straigthening their hair and getting newest fashions, wearing subtle makeup and having subtle kinds of attitudes. Do yall know what youre trying to blend into?

Cause we all know youre looking for a man. In the same standardized fashion formulas of the season we walk in public places next to each other all thinking we are big shit, we took thirty minutes to get ready to be somebody. And when then men see us, do you know what I think..... I dont think we have given them any way to see us as individuals because for one we are all trying to be the coveted white girl or at least have her hair and for two we are all wearing hte same kind of shit. We are all marching in an army of cum spunges down the halls of the malls and we think were all something special. You will be out of a mans sight in one minute and replaced by another bland wanna be Carmen Electra.

And that makes me mad cuase half the women I see really could be hot. Now youre pretty, good for you. You got to be someone. You got to have sexual power.
Like a prowess. I dont think every woman will reach this point in their life. They will just strive to be pretty, but they will never be an amazon. I guess this is kind of good, because it leave more power for those of us that will but I think its time to help ourselves.

For one, I said in another article something about how your clothes look on you. You can dye your hair, weave your hair, it doesnt matter, the point is you need to wear something that compliments what you have. If you got a big ass, dont force yourself into assless jeans. If your hips are a size thirteen and you want to show your stomach, that doesnt make you a hoe at all- the female form is a gift (that needs to be celebrated with honor, not defamation) you need to wear things that fit you right. If you have to ask if it looks good, it probably doesnt. People often compromise patterns for a good cut peice of clothing. It doesnt matter what the pattern is if the dress is shaped like an hour glass and your a clock. None of this matters if you dont care, but deep inside we all care to a degree. Pick things out that you can look at yourself and go "damn ***** I know I look good' that its no question at all. If you got curly hair, instead of making it straight, maybe you should condition it so you can wear healthy curls. Dont force shit because that is degrading. It is selling you short. Youre bound to screw up being someone else. Is that what all you want your natural gift of beauty to be? An entry in a contest to see who can be the brightest ornament on the male cheauvanist capitalistic christmas tree?

I think shirts that dont support your boobs are not empowering. There is nothing wrong with a little cleavage or a halter top at all... but there is something subliminally degrading to me for someone to fake it in a shirt they know isnt helping them at all. There is a science to this people....I just dont know what it is.

You know whats another thing....your eyebrows. Yes, the eyebrow shows expressions on your face, and expressions on your face come from your thoughts. I myself have an eyeborw obsession, but one important thing to me is to never compromise the espressions of my eyebrow. Cats have no eyebrow and neither do snakes, so you dont know whats going on with them. But we are women, not cats or snakes and our thoughts are important. The thoughts of a woman or thought in general will never be expressed or detected by two pencil thin rainbow shaped eyebrows.

Yes in the kind of world we live in, I think this is a science. Help me out...

This is like a question my friend asked my one day.
1.Would you rather marry a gal who isn't that pretty but has the nicest personality you've ever seen?
    or
2.Would you rather marry a gal who is the prettiest but with a shitty personality?

    I chose number 1

I really don't want to be stuck with someone who's selfish.

I admit that a pretty girl with nice clothes and make-up will make me look at her, but a guy like me has no chance with her.

I would rather choose personality over looks. I guess I'm just that sorta guy.

Love can turn your perception of a person to "new heights", if you have a boy/girlfriend and s/he tells you (or you tell him/her) that you don't look good, then it's over, quit the relationship, it's worthless.

Firstly, aesthetics are largely subjective. I've often identified a female as a "babe" only to be told by my buddies that she's a "total dog." (and vice versa) And secondly, there is no objective standard for measuring personality either. I'm a total bore (or worse yet, a weirdo) to some, and profoundly witty to others (or so I'd like to think).

There are plenty of pretty wimmin with great personalities, and hoardes of ugly ladies with dull ones!

Even the idea that you would have to choose personality or looks is totally false. I've almost never met someone who falls squarely in one category or another.

I've noticed that the people who claim to only care about personality make the claim repeatedly and loudly. It seems to be more about professing their moral superiority than anything else.

Is it just me or do none of the replies to this thread have anything to do with the original post?

The underlying message, "Be who you are, don't try to be anybody else". Cool.

I'd like to hear how you think if women were to accept who they are; dress the way that works for them; and stopped trying to be some celebrity, this would help liberate themselves, and change society.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I just want to hear what you have to say.

It always helps change society when a group of opressed people can love themselves and be who they are.

We will find true love because people will love US and not where we are standing in the contest to be someone we are not. Everyone in a relationship like that can benifit becuase it is based on real love.

Men are rewarded and succeed for being their own unique excellent self.

Women succeed for being the perfect model of what men want women to be.

How can a socialist or communist society survive in which half of the population is subserviant, whether they are cognizant of the fact or not, to the other half? It can't be done. What Raisa is saying is that women should be striving to be 'independent women', strong and unique, just like men are encouraged to do. When women start this, we will see a liberation and through this only can the successful socialist/communist system work.

Raisa, sorry if I've mischaracterized your views.
For the bureaucrat, the world is a mere object to be manipulated by him.

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.
