    Gutenabend meine Deutschen Kameraden. Es ist 15 Jahre da Wiedervereinigung gewesen, was im Osten geändert hat? gibt es jemand, das sich vernarrt an die DDR erinnert? Gibt es eine kommunistische Partei auf dem lokalen bürgerlichen Niveau. Dank sehr viel und entschuldigt bitte mein rostiges Deutsches!

    Life in the DDR was not very good man.. the PDS isn't exactly the same Communist Party thankfully, it's more open and less authoritarian. But many East Germans do still think Marxism is correct, they just oppose the authoritarian regime that ruled over the DDR. It wasn't a nice life in the DDR man, it wasn't brutal or horrible, just not great.

    Please, never call a German communist "Kamerad". It's used by the military and the fascists. So there are two translations for "comrade". Us communists call each other "Genosse".
    "The proletariat, when it seizes power [...] should and must at once undertake socialist measures in the most energetic, unyielding and unhesitant fashion, in other words, exercise a dictatorship, but a dictatorship of the CLASS, not of a party or of a clique -- dictatorship of the class, that means in the broadest possible form on the basis of the most active, unlimited participation of the mass of the people, of unlimited democracy." - Rosa Luxemburg

    @La Guerra Olvidada:

    I have often talked to people from the former DDR and nearly all of them told me that they had a great time back then. There were no homeless people, nazis were sent to jail for many years, everyone had enough food and you had much free time. The only bad things were that you couldn't travel the world and that you were supposed to say what the leaders of the communist party wanted you to say. but hey... who cares? It is certainly not freedom, but much better than the situation which you will face today in eastern germany. nazis are on the rise and it seems that no one is able to stop them. some people are forced to live on the streets because of Hartz 4 and get beaten up or killed by nazi skins. when everything was so bad there in former times, why do you think the PDS/WASG is still such a powerful force in the eastern part of germany (and by the way the only party which really fights fascism)?
    Zampanò:
    "Marx never said anything like that about capitalism ever. Could you please point us to where he said such great things about capitalism?"
    Capcomm:
    "Well can you show me where he has not?"
