so, about a month ago the education minister said that it was 'highly unlikely' that vsu [voluntary student unionism] would go through parliament and be implemented next year. now, they've brought it back onto the agenda. theyve put ir reforms through, theyve put the anti-terror laws through, and now theyre trying to put vsu through, the fuckers. today was meant to be the last day of sitting for the senate but they've extended it til tomorrow

Current situation of VSU:
- It has passed through the House of Representatives
- It has been deferred off the agenda today but may be put back on
- Senate has been extended for one extra day of sitting therefore from today to tomorrow

This action has the support of the Council of Australian Post-graduate Associations (who passed a motion today to extend their lunch hour at their conference in order to attend the action)
